RE: It's Astro-Logical -- practical advice for conscious living -- Issue #19 -- Saturn direct!
I've got to be honest. Once. I generally pass right by astrological type posts. Not that I don't agree or even believe that there are forces I do not understand at work, but because of an ex. I have a remarkable collection of them (exes) and not all recollections are pleasant. This would constitute one of those.
Now, that said. I really liked the post, and the way you laid it out. I've been scuffling a bit for several months, and that is starting to change for me. I think it was a good time to be travelling. :)
About your photos. It's like you are reading my mail right now. I've been called to Tuzigoot and Montezuma's Castle and Well and the area around there. I'm planning a 'three day two night' adventure into the area. I looked at my photos of Tuzigoot and they were taken with my very first digital camera. Which means it's been way too long.
So. You've picked up my day AND shown me the way forward. I thank you for that.
FOR TSE: You know ... I usually pass right by them, too. (Or open them out of "professional curiosity.") Most of them don't make one damn bit of sense to me either -- and that's just not right. I can think of literally two other astrologers whose work I trust ... and whose writing I regularly read. They're both either as good as or better than I am -- and they know how to write in ways that don't make your head spin.
Way too many astrologers get lost in their own jargon. (Do they think that makes them sound smarter?) Or they flat don't know what they're talking about. I've been doing this for decades ... and if I have to stop and try to interpret what someone just said ... what chance does a person have who doesn't know the first thing about astrology -- and what it offers?
No kidding. Sometimes I read some of the offerings from various places aloud to The Weasel -- and we both just laugh and shake our heads. (Like ... What the heck was that all about?? ) So believe me, I share your reservations ... and I respect them. I know exactly where they come from -- and too often, they're justified.
But the day I can't write something sensible -- and tell my reader in plain English what's happening and what to expect, it's time to hang up my keyboard.
