The Field of Light
Every year in the centre of town there is some kind of art installation to titilate the locals. Edinburgh is very much an artsy town and is very keen on public installations. A few years ago one of the most exciting exhibits (in my opinion) was shown called 'The Field of Light'.
The artist to a public square in the middle of the city and installed thousands of these little lights that resemble flowers in a way.
They would cycle through various colours while you walked through it. If it wasn't for the winter cold you'd almost think you are walking through an alien flowerbed.
It took about a week to get setup and impressively held up against the winter rains for the whole three months it was on display. Here's a few more images of the exhibit.
I wish they'd bring it back for another exhibit, it was quite magical. I went back about 5 times not just to take pictures but to enjoy the atmosphere it created in the area.
Thanks for Looking.
