Reducing EMFs In Our Home

My friend sent me a link to a podcast on reducing EMFs (electromagnetic frequencies) in our homes. At first, I just kind of blew it off thinking, “Oh yea, cell phones and radiation. I know, but what’s a person to do? Oh well.” But I listened to the podcast anyways. That woke me up! I highly suggest listening to the podcast, if you can. It’s long, but she gives some interesting info, along with a few stories.

In the podcast, Dr. Libby gives practical and easy steps to reduce the EMF’s in your home. If you don’t want to listen to the podcast, you can always find the tips here. The Big Man hasn’t slept good in a long time. He blames the bed, which it could very well be, but I want to try some of these tips and see if it makes a difference. My friend told me she implemented some of these tips and now she sleeps deeper, wakes up earlier without feeling groggy, and has a lot fewer headaches. With a testimony like that, it’s worth a shot!

So after looking at Dr. Libby’s tips and talking with my friend, here are some things I am going to try to reduce the EMFs in our home:

  1. Turn Bluetooth off on my phone (I will have to go under settings every morning to disable Bluetooth since I have an iPhone. Thanks appple 👎)
  2. Turn my devices on airplane mode when not in use.
  3. Unplug unused electronics/appliances.
  4. Unplug the WiFi at night. (We’ve unplugged our WiFi before for a long period of time, and for whatever reason, we ended up having to call our provider to fix it when we plugged it back in. So if that happens again, I think I'll cover it with shielding material.)
  5. Replace CFLs with incandescent light bulbs.
  6. Turn the breaker for our bedroom off at night.

I’m really interested in seeing if doing these things will have any impact on our health and how we feel. I will update you in a future post on how it went. Also, my friend bought a microsurge meter and offered to let me borrow it. I may have to take her up on that offer!

Side rant: Maybe there is something to this living off-grid lifestyle. I mean, we have electricity to make our lives easier right? We pay a pretty penny for it, too! And then, if things are bad enough, we will have to spend even more money to protect ourselves from this very thing that’s supposed to make our lives better? Does anyone else feel like we’re in Egypt yet? I don’t know, I find it all so ridiculous. Yeshua, please come quickly, because the world is getting crazy!

Awesome post! I think there needs to be more awareness brought to the issue of EMFs and Smartmeters in our environments, especially where we sleep.

I don't think that there has been enough research done on the effects of EMFs on humans and animals.

I think so too! I can’t figure out why other countries are more cautious than we are. Russia, for example, does not allow WiFi in their schools.

You don't have to go to Settings to turn off bluetooth on the iphone. Swipe upward on the lock screen and when this screen pops up, just tap the bluetooth icon :)65317048-489E-49B7-B394-50CB9DE54BE0.png

Alternately, just tap the airplane icon and it will automatically turn off the other 3 in the box with it.

Whaaaaaaaaat??? And here I just thought you had a new iphone and hadn't discovered that feature yet. I haven't run into the automatic override since I haven't put my phone in airplane mode overnight. I can't believe they made sneaky changes like that...my tinfoil hat is getting some new aluminum here...

I know it! It’s not like it went unnoticed by the masses, so I’m not sure who they think they are fooling. I did find out though, if you turn it off through settings, that it will not turn back on in the morning. It will only do that through the upswipe. So that’s nice...I guess lol

Maybe they figure that enough people...like me!...wouldn't find out about it, so they can still have enough victims to do whatever nefarious data mining projects they have in mind :-/ Apple tries so hard to sneakily trick me into enabling iCloud, it's getting freaky. NO, I don't want to sync my entire photo collection into the cloud. NO, I don't want you storing all my passwords on a "keychain". NO, I'm not going to let you keep my credit card numbers for me. NO, I DON'T WANT YOU MANAGING MY ENTIRE LIFE, I'M NOT PUTTING ALL MY INFORMATION INTO A NEBULOUS PLACE LIKE A CLOUD THAT YOU CONTROL.

I turn all the wifi off in my house at night too and I made my own RF shield for the smart meter outside. I still need to make one for the water meter but I've taken the shield off just to test if it affects my sleep and it does. I feel less rested and wake up with a mild headache.

We also need to worry about where we place our wifi router in the house. In the video below this guy shows you just how much RF these things are emitting while they sit on top of your computer desk.

I need to get me one of those RF meters.

I still need to get my router off the desk and in the corner of the room or figure out a way to shield it.

How far away is your smart meter? I can’t believe it affects your sleep even with it being outside! When exactly are they planning on setting up 5G anyways? Thanks for sharing the video!

Smart meters are pretty powerful, I hear they can they can broadcast to towers 20 miles away. They are setting up 5G in most of the big cities this year and I'm guessing it will take a couple years before they start setting them up around here.
