You don't have to go to Settings to turn off bluetooth on the iphone. Swipe upward on the lock screen and when this screen pops up, just tap the bluetooth icon :)
Alternately, just tap the airplane icon and it will automatically turn off the other 3 in the box with it.
If only it were that simple: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.computerworld.com/article/3230299/apple-ios/in-ios-11-toggling-wi-fi-and-bluetooth-off-doesnt-work-heres-why.amp.html
Whaaaaaaaaat??? And here I just thought you had a new iphone and hadn't discovered that feature yet. I haven't run into the automatic override since I haven't put my phone in airplane mode overnight. I can't believe they made sneaky changes like that...my tinfoil hat is getting some new aluminum here...
I know it! It’s not like it went unnoticed by the masses, so I’m not sure who they think they are fooling. I did find out though, if you turn it off through settings, that it will not turn back on in the morning. It will only do that through the upswipe. So that’s nice...I guess lol
Maybe they figure that enough people...like me!...wouldn't find out about it, so they can still have enough victims to do whatever nefarious data mining projects they have in mind :-/ Apple tries so hard to sneakily trick me into enabling iCloud, it's getting freaky. NO, I don't want to sync my entire photo collection into the cloud. NO, I don't want you storing all my passwords on a "keychain". NO, I'm not going to let you keep my credit card numbers for me. NO, I DON'T WANT YOU MANAGING MY ENTIRE LIFE, I'M NOT PUTTING ALL MY INFORMATION INTO A NEBULOUS PLACE LIKE A CLOUD THAT YOU CONTROL.
