The Debate (no.45); significant impacts of homework.

Homework is very significant to any learning institutions, it helps the learners to develop at their own pace and also helps to boost their self confidence especially when it has to do with paper presentations, so there's need for homework, whether plenty or small is very very important.

Do you think homework helps you remember what you learned in school?

Yes, homework helps me remember what I've learned from school,

It helps me to develop on my own, to read and make researches, with the advancement in technology today one can learn technically learn on his own or if a home work or research work is given to such a person or to me in particular, to be honest I can go beyond what I've been taught in the school.

Another thing is that, homework drastically improves my retention, because I tend to practice every word I've been taught and ensure I practice every topic repeatedly, and that's to tell you how significant homework is to me and every learner out there.

How do you feel when you have a lot of homework?

Hmmmm I won't lie oooo if I have bundles of homework waiting for me I often feel frustrated, feeling like crazy like how on earth who does that, of a truth we are humans and we are bound to have such emotions towards bunch of activities or work, though is for our own good but that's how I feel if the homework are plenty.

Secondly, I sometimes feels light headache and even tensions, like when would I be able to finish chemistry and move to physics, maybe just imagining have three strongest assignments on those two subjects then math's and English joined together and to be submitted the following day, to be honest I would be lost in thought at some points at that moment, especially when I'm cracking my brain, but nothing is working again and see sleeping, at some point I would allow the nature to take it cause ooo I can't come and kill myself I think that would be my reactions.
But I would ensure I do my best 💪 coz I'm not lazy

Can you think of ways homework could be made more useful or enjoyable?

The act of grouping (project) the learners on a particular topic, ask them to develop themselves according to their level of understanding and experiences, bring out the creativity in them, by this act it would surely go a long way in educational sector.

My student is presenting, before judges and fellow students in the school.

Also, the act of debating among the students, organize a debate question, group the learners into two in a class and give them a debate question they should go and rehearse come up with a point and fix a day whereby they would come and make presentations accordingly, now a debate question like this: ''Technology has done more harm to students than good". (Proposing and opposing the point) These are issues affecting them they would be eager and so happy to participate and when presenting it would become fun and joy to watch them bringing out the interesting points they have, and I could say the homework would be useful and very enjoyable to watch, that's all from my own end here.
