Trying Indian Food after a long time
Today I’m going to tell you guys about my experience with the popular Indian food restaurant “Dhawalagiri Hotel”. It's located near Maradana railway station. When I was a schoolboy, I usually go to this hotel very often because it’s located near my school. But I haven’t gone to this hotel for a long time. I had an opportunity to go and try this food again last Saturday.
I and Rasi decided to meet last Saturday after a long time. As usual, she came to the railway station to come to Colombo. But unfortunately, the train was broken and she had to come by expressway bus. Normally she comes to Colombo around 9.15 am. But because of what happened, she told me that it would be 10.30 am. I was very hungry and I remembered the Dhawalagiri hotel when I was coming to Colombo by train. I took off at Maradana railway station and went there.
I ordered Ulundu wade, Dhal wade and Potato Banda with plain tea. This restaurant is a vegetarian one. The food is very good for me. The sambal is also okay. It cost me around 400 rupees. I think it’s a pair price these days. They served me really well and I can give them 4.5 stars out of 5. I gave a 40 rupee tip to the uncle who served me food.
After getting my breakfast, I came to Maradana railway station and catch my train to Colombo railway. I had to wait around another 1 hour for Rasi to come. I went to near floating market there and waited until she came.
After my retirement, I couldn't go that way. I also need to go to Maradana and petta very close days.
