Well done everyone, you’ve made it through January! It’s February, the shortest and most useless month. It needn’t be that way though. Christmas and New Year are all but distant memories and summer seems a lifetime a way. Filipino Stick Fighting

Filipino stick fighting, how cool does that sound? In fact I challenge you to try and think of a cooler way of staying fit this Feb. Can’t think of one? Ye didn’t think so. As the story goes Stick fighting was invented centuries ago when Filipinos integrated their native knife fighting arts with Western boxing. Don’t worry, no knives are now involved! Just loads of fun! Sessions are held on a Saturday afternoon in Vauxhall.

Think ‘Bootcamp’ sounds a bit intimidating? Don’t worry, that couldn’t be further from the truth. The beauty of it is that it really doesn’t matter what level of fitness you’re at, all you need is a commitment to improve it, it’s as simple as that. All shapes, sizes and genders are welcome. So what’s stopping you popping down to Battersea park and checking it out. After all, the first one’s free!

We really do have it all here at GoSweat! Want to work out on Clapham Common with your friends and some great music? Then this is the place for you. Wireless fitness is a hugely popular and revolutionary way of keeping active and having a great time. Each session is different and every ability is catered for. You can be running, jumping, crunching and skipping throughout Feb, every Tuesday evening from 18.45.

Brixton fencing club offers fencing for all ages and abilities. All the equipment is provided free each session so you can’t be using the classic ‘I don’t have a sword’ excuse. Fencing combines, skill, agility and intellect to create a truly unique sport. So why not pop down to Brixton on a Monday and give it a go?

FREE Korfball

Never heard of it? No neither had I. It’s a lot like netball and basketball but uniquely is played in mixed teams - four men and four women to each team. In the 1920s it was in the Olympics, now it’s in Waterloo. It really doesn’t matter if you’ve never played before, there’s an international coach available and teams for all abilities. So if you’re bored of the gym and feel like keeping fit why not give it a go this February?

FREE Never Stop London

Experience a one hour training session every Monday at 18.30 in Covent Garden. It is run by a professional North Face trainer with each session aiming to help you achieve your outdoor goal. That can be anything from trail running to skiing. It’s a great opportunity to get outside and learn from a professional. It’s also free, every week!
