I woke up this morning all bright and bubbly. Did my morning devotion with the family I lodge with and thereafter I set out for house chores like sweeping the compound and fetching water from the tap. Yes, we now have a tap. Of course, this is no longer a village. So what do you expect?
Having done with my house chores, I ironed my clothes and in a few minutes, I headed to church for the Sunday service.
Afternoon returning from church, yours faithfully had to first of all drink garri garnished with groundnuts. No sugar. Man, I don't like sugar. 🤦"Garri is termed as students' power." Lol. After resting for a while, I went ahead to prepare lunch. Today being Sunday, I think the meal that's best for Sunday is rice. 😁 In a few minutes, it was done and the family enjoyed the meal. Oh boy, men can cook, too. 😋
Two hours later after lunch, it started to drizzle. I was praying in my heart for it to rain heavily coz it's been over 6 months since it rained. Most crops are all dead. The ground dried up like a desert. As if God knew the intent of my heart, from drizzling, the Lord opened the windows of heaven and it rained heavily here in Kogi state. Our joy knew no bounds. Few moments later, I jumped into my book again and I started editing and proofreading it. Writing takes time but it's fun. 😊
