Rescued Baby Opossum
Today I made an extraordinary meeting when I went to the library in town. I met Sandra from the Animal Rescue Team. In her basket, which was filled with fabrics as a bedding, she carried around a small baby opossum.
That opossum was rescued after its mother got killed by dogs. Now Sandra is taking care of it and raising it until it is big enough to be able to live in the nature by itself. Since she has to feed it every hour, she is taking it with her whenever she needs to leave the house and she couldn´t find someone else to take care of little baby opossum during that time.
It needs to get tought how to survive in the wildlife later, therefore she will show the opossum how to eat blossoms and everything they normally eat in the wildlife.
I even got a chance to hold it too. Isn´t it adorable?
I think it is really great work that Sandra is doing there. Little baby opossum isn´t the only animal she is taking care of after it was rescued. She is also raising a baby kangaroo and three birds.
Thank you Sandra for taking such great care of those animals! You really do great work!
So dang cute!
Possums are sooo cute!
My mate had one when we were kids.
It's just a shame they are such a menace in NZ.
That is true!
Omg what a super cute little thing, thanks so much for sharing this upvoted!
