We are looking forward to enrolling our second daughter in college. In that way yesterday, the entrance exam was held in Amrita University known as "Amirta Visva Vidya Peedam" in Coimbatore in which my daughter participated. After sending her for the exam, we visited the university campus there.

Amrita Viswa Vidya Peedam University is one of the top universities in India. Their universities are located in many parts of India. Its headquarters is at Thiruvananthapuram in the state of Kerala. Located in a village called Etimatai in Coimbatore, this university and engineering college is very popular. It is renowned for its strictness, quality of education, discipline etc.

It is very rare to get a place in this, to get admission in their college there is a chance of getting a place if they appear in three of the three entrance exams conducted by their university and pass any one of them. And those who get the highest marks are given priority.

Apart from that, although the tuition fee is a bit high in this college, there are many facilities here. The college has many features like world class lab, talented professors, healthy campus.

That's why I asked my daughter to write an entrance exam saying that we can give this college a try. However, we have applied to some other colleges. If we get a seat in this college, we will leave the other colleges.

Exam time was allotted yesterday afternoon. It was supposed to start around 2 but the hall ticket said to report at 1.30. So we left home around 11. It takes around 1.30 to 2 hours to reach there from our home. We left half an hour early because it takes time if there is a work traffic. We reached the college at exactly 1:00. The college campus was very big and green

After a few checking formalities we were allowed in. We parked our car in the parking place and then picked up my daughter and sent her to the entrance exam hall.

After that we went to visit the campus, there were many statues placed all over the campus, all of them were symbols of Hinduism, for example, the statue of Meera from the Krishna Purana, the statue of Rama from the Ramayana, the Saraswati statue from the Mahabharata, the statue of Lord Krishna from the Mahabharata, the statue of Lord Shiva, and very beautifully carved campuses were placed everywhere in the garden.

The college was situated at the foothills of the Western Ghats and the back of the college was surrounded by hills, one of which was a huge pyramid in the garden, which I photographed. The entire campus was decorated with flower gardens and bonsais and many trees were planted and maintained. We could see different kinds of trees here. Although it was hot in the summer, it was shaded inside the campus so we didn't feel the heat much. We were just enjoying the plants in the garden and taking photos.

Also we visited the play ground in the campus and the buildings in the campus. The main building was very grand and architecturally designed and built. The building culture of India and South India was reflected in it. The paintings by the students were displayed on the walls which were very beautiful and unique.

We spent about three hours there. After the exam, everyone was coming out. We also went there and waited. When my daughter finished the exam, she came out and said that she had written well. Then we took her to the canteen, bought her a snack and we also had snacks and drinks. Then we left and came home. We hope you like it and leave us your comments.
