I have talked loads about the furbabies i have but theres 1 furbaby i would like to talk about. My German Shepherd Called Sheara who we lost 8 years ago.

Sheara was bought for me for my Christmas Present December 2000. He was the quite pup that sat at the back, they called him the runt.

From the day we got him home he was my special baby and always will be, even though i love the babies i have now, he will always hold a special place in my heart and still miss him every day.

He loved being with us, even though he was so big he still loved to cuddle up on your knee poor lie on our bed with us to sleep. He was an amazing guard dog that people used to cross the road when they saw him, if only they knew how soft and loving he was.

He was great when the girls were off school poorly, whilst they would be asleep on the sofa he would stand next to them until they woke up.

His bed was in the passage as that was the coolest place. I had a photo printed out then framed then placed above where he used to sleep so everytime we pass it he is still there.

He loved out in the sun until it got to hot he loved to be close to us.

I'll never forget the day we lost him
Hubby got up as usual, took him out for his morning walk, i was still in bed but heard them come back. Heard hubby give him a treat which he ate then went to his bed. Then all we heard was a thud. Hubby ran to see what it was finding Shears had died. No warning nothing. Hubby screamed for me, i dashed downstairs to find my big boy gone. All i remember me doing was screaming and crying.

STILL MAKES ME CRY NOW

I will never forget him, we will see each other soon on rainbow bridge.

Thank you son-of-satire

I am so sorry for your loss. I know the pain doesn't go away, even after many years... );

@creatr

They are family. They don't live long enough

Dogs sometimes appear to smile -- much like humans -- with open mouth grinning. This may indicate a relaxed, submissive state.

really so cuts,
had not you sarch your locality and also nearby your outside areas?

It's a beautiful and sad story. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Every dog is special. Some are even more special.

Thank you for visiting :)

We all have those pets that were extra special to us. They never go away. They are etched in our hearts forever. Small consolation, he went quickly and didn't suffer. I had a few die with cancer and that is poor torture...

Must have been awful to go through. He shouldn't have died bless him he was only 10 :(

Unfortunately, large breed dogs don't have very long lives...

That's very true
