Almost Died (Literally) To See Spiral Jetty!
Today we went to see the rock art, Spiral jetty by Robert Smithson. Things got bad when we got stuck in some mud, We accidentally went on the wrong path and we hit a small puddle that was caused by the snow storm the other day. Nothing we did seemed to work on getting us out. We were in the middle of the desert on a tiny non traveled road. And sadly the piece of art isn’t very popular so people don’t drive out to see it often. It was a scary reality that if we didn’t get his car out we could potentially be done for. We had no phone service either. We didn’t have a shovel or anything (lesson learned) so we used some curtains in the trunk, I took an extra shirt I had on me, along with my favorite jacket. Stuffing it under the tires for traction. We also used some dead grass nearby. After a bunch of trial and error we managed to get free. It was such a relief. I was on my hands and knees trying to dig the car out with my hands so I got covered in mud. We made it to spiral Jetty and had a picnic which was fun! I can’t wait to post the photos I got.

A stuck tire sometimes can be freed by letting some air out but I don't know if it works for tires stuck on mud because it works on sand.
