What You SHOULD Be Doing BEFORE Bed!

Most of us do the same things before going to bed, Whether we play on our phones, read a book. Drink tea. Or shower. These habits can have a bigger impact on the next day then we may think. Here are some tips to make your days much easier.

PLAN Your sleep

Haven't you noticed when you keep a set schedule you feel better overall? Having a set sleep schedule makes it easy for you to get enough sleep every day, It also gives you a chance to plan out your day more effectively.

Journals

DO you have insomnia as I do? I toss and turn in bed Because i"m so full of thoughts. Buy yourself a notebook or a fancy journal and write your thoughts down before you go to bed each night. It will allow you feel better and You'll sleep nicer! Plus it's fun to look back and read those entries.

Get Away from Your electronics

Not only does using all those fun apps on your phone keep you awake longer, Because of the light from the screen. But it also starts your brain up again, When it should be winding down for the night.
Avoid electronics for an hour or two before bedtime, So you can sleep much better and have a more productive day.

Make Your TO DO Lists And plan the next day

One of my favorite things before I go to sleep, Is to look at my planner, I mark off the things I accomplished from the day, Which boosts my self-esteem. I then write my todo list for tomorrow. Writing it the night before allows you to be thinking more clearly when you write it, If you wait until the next morning you may be too groggy to remember what you wanted to do.

Prepare Breakfast

If you have trouble getting your breakfast each morning, You can have it ready to go early! If you plan to just have oatmeal. Have a bowl of oatmeal ready without the water, Set up, so it's easy!
If you want to eat eggs and bacon, Have everything next to each other in the fridge. Or if you don't mind leftovers you can cook it early, and eat it the next morning. That way you are less likely to skip breakfast.

Conclusion

Having things ready to go to bed, Will allow your day to go smoothly. A little bit of preparation makes a big difference!

Pop a melatonin, and turn off the lights. Once the melatonin kicks in you will automatically put down your phone or electronic devices. Trust me. I had sleep problems for years. Then I discovered over the counter melatonin! Works awesome!

Love it! Melatonin works well for me too! But sometimes my brain still overreacts and I cant sleep lol

If you have insomnia you should really try a good form of Magnesium.
It really helps you to relax.

Wow! good one! I haven't tried magnesium. Maybe I'll what foods are high in it so I can add them to my life.

Agreed Magnesium is great for that. Even better when you combine it with some Zinc in my experience.

But the absolute best I found is a simple recipe that I learned from Tim Ferris:

1 tablespoon of Honey (raw and organic would probably be best)
2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
Mix in a cup with boiling water

I know it sounds weird and not effective but it works like a charm!

Does it taste any good ? I'll have to try it! I love the work of Tim Ferris.

I actually realy like it! Tastes a bit like warm apple wine and a bit like winter , if that makes any sense.. :-)

If you are into health this magnesium should be the first thing you buy, it's more important than anything elese, trust me.
So many other things will get better to! 👍
I understand if don't buy it right away, I mean I have a hard time convincing people that are close to me, but when I succeed and they try it they continue buying it.

Friends and family trying to sleep and I'm over here like-

All boys play with fire it is in their nature. I am trying to think how many times I have had my eyebrows or arm hair burned off from playing with fire as a kid.

One time the engine on a 460 Ford motor from the jet boat my dad and I were restoring backfired as I was pouring gas into the carburetor and my dad was like wow! I smell that burning hair.

it's 23:44 here. Just 9 hours apart.
I'm too tired to do anything.
I'll do a Shia treatment tomorrow (1hour of "just do it") maybe that will get me going. :D

Inconsistent sleep times is the #1 reason for sleep-related problems. only too late did I learn that. This is good info for anyone who wants a better quality of life!

I agree! I'm trying to fix my schedule. now because I got off track LOL.

I prefer to just follow my body's natural rhythm...Of course that doesn't work for those that lack freedom,and have to work a 9-5 ...When I have to Make sure I get to sleep , I usually use warm milk and a sleeping pill. Melatonin does not seam to work for me..Thanks for the post.
