Hello Steem Community,

Today I officially announce my candidacy as a Steem Witness under the account @kouba01.

Since discovering Steem, I have always believed that this blockchain represents much more than a simple social platform. Steem is an ecosystem where decentralization, freedom of expression, blockchain technology, and online communities can work together to create something valuable and sustainable for the future. Over the years, I have followed the development of the platform and observed how important it is to have active witnesses who are committed not only to maintaining the network but also to helping the community grow and evolve.

For this reason, I decided that I wanted to become more involved in the infrastructure side of Steem and contribute directly to the blockchain by running a witness node and participating in the long-term future of the ecosystem.

What Is a Steem Witness?

For users who may not be familiar with the role of a witness, Steem witnesses are responsible for producing blocks, validating transactions, maintaining nodes, and helping secure the blockchain network. Witnesses are one of the most essential parts of the Steem ecosystem because the blockchain depends on them to remain stable, decentralized, and operational every day.

Witnesses also play an important role in governance because they participate in network upgrades, software decisions, and the overall evolution of the blockchain. Running a witness infrastructure requires technical knowledge, reliable servers, constant monitoring, maintenance, and a strong long-term commitment to the platform.

I believe that every serious and reliable witness contributes to making Steem stronger and more secure for all users.

About Me

Why I Want to Become a Witness

I decided to become a witness because I want to contribute more directly to the future of the Steem blockchain. I believe that witnesses should not only produce blocks but should also remain active within the community, support innovation, encourage decentralization, and help promote the ecosystem.

My objective is to maintain a reliable witness infrastructure while continuing to contribute through projects and community participation. I understand that becoming a witness is a long-term responsibility that requires consistency, technical work, and continuous learning, and I am fully committed to improving my knowledge and infrastructure over time.

Even as a backup witness, I believe it is important to contribute to the decentralization and stability of the network because every active witness strengthens the blockchain.

Witness Infrastructure

My witness infrastructure is built with stability, security, and reliability in mind. I use a Linux server environment with SSD storage, reliable bandwidth, regular maintenance, and continuous monitoring to ensure the best possible uptime and performance.

As the network grows and requirements evolve, I plan to continue improving my infrastructure by upgrading servers, deploying backup systems, and eventually adding additional services such as seed nodes or API nodes for the benefit of the community.

I understand the importance of maintaining reliable infrastructure and I am committed to supporting the Steem blockchain seriously and responsibly.

Community Commitment
