Betterlife, The Diary Game (December 17, 2024) | Enjoying Ice Cream at Simpang Rangkaya

This morning I woke up as usual, before the sun rose from the east I performed the two rakaat dawn prayer. Today I can't relax too much because there will be a 3rd Maulid celebration in my village, precisely the Maulid at the mosque.

I carried several packages of rice which I had ordered through someone else who was also participating in this Maulid celebration. Because there were only a few packages, I decided not to cook at home and also because today coincides with the Maulid at my sister-in-law's place, maybe I will go there after the Maulid here is over.

I finished all my housework first, such as washing, sweeping, mopping, and also ironing some clothes. Ironing is the hardest job for me to do, but I really like washing.

At 9 am, the Maulid event began. The children started to swing some salawat and also hikayat with simple movements. The sound of "dikee" could be heard clearly from my house. I told the kids to get ready immediately and they went first, while I would catch up later.

When I arrived, it turned out that Dikee had finished even though it was still 10 am. I heard the next event, which was a spiritual shower. He told how this story began and the struggle of the Prophet Muhammad.

The day was very hot, we sat under the tent but Hamzah started to fuss because of the heat. Not long after that, the speech was over and the event was closed with a prayer. All the children were expected to gather and the moment the children were most waiting for was the distribution of the nanai maulid.

Each of us got one package. We went home and enjoyed the kenduri rice. We got different menus and everyone expressed gratitude.

In the afternoon after taking a nap, I took the kids to eat ice cream at Simpang Rangkaya. They looked very happy and I was also happy to see them like that.

This is an ice cream shop that just opened a few months ago, and this was the first time we went here. The kids looked at the menu and ordered. However, some of the menus were not available and they had to change their orders.

After thinking fast enough, they ordered strawberry ice cream and also chocolate. The price of each cup is Rp 15,000/4.45 steem. After getting their ice cream order, the children immediately sat down and enjoyed it.

We spent quite a long time just sitting and finishing our ice cream. They really enjoyed it. Maghrib was almost here, we rushed home but before that, the kids asked to buy their favorite grilled siomay. After that we went home and we welcomed the night happily.
