Why do we need a king when we have the ECB?

Wasn't the point of creating a democracy to get away from having a single authoritarian figure deciding what is best for everyone?

Wasn't that exactly what America was founded on?

The answer is yes.

The ECB is reminding us of just that.

They claim in their anti bitcoin paper that if we just get rid of bitcoin or tax it heavily we can kill it off and therefore run permanent money printing programs with no one able to escape it.
