Seeing the first images I'm thinking of Ireland. Not Island (our cliches are very massive... ;-)) Very cool photos; I hope it was a much cooler trip!
Iceland is the land of volcanos for me. Not less, but not more...
Oh, I totally relate to this; I've seen Eyjafjallajökull with my eyes, although when I hear "volcano" my first association is Lanzarote :)
My other Icelandic association is waterfalls... I counted hundreds while traveling around the island and I read there are thousands of them...
