Do You Know Uptrennd?
Well, we all know that there has been a lot of drama on Steem these last days. While the witnesses and the tron team are battling it out, many Steemians are fighting hard to keep the Steem blockchain we all got to know and love alive and well.
At the same time, people are also thinking about what the future will hold for all of us. Many other platforms are reaching out and letting people on Steem know that they are welcome with open arms.
A long time Freewriter invited me to join him on Uptrennd and shared the article below with me. Now, I am going to share it with you 😂

Don't get me wrong. I am not going to flee Steem right now - I put in way too many hours to do that. But it is always good to see what is on the other side of the fence.
And that friend who told me about Uptrennd - he decided to leave Steem and that is where I have to go to have a little chat.

I haven't joined any communities because the whole thing confuses me. Do I have to join the freewrite community in order to post freewrites now?
no, you don't. Anyone can write Freewrites. We see what the future brings but when all this Steemit/Tron nonsense is over and hopefully we still have a strong blockchain, the communities might be able to have perks that we can only dish out through the community. Right now, the perk is that your post - if a freewrite using the prompt -gets resteemed to the Freewritehouse and we try to upvote from the community account and the Freewritehouse account.
But we have always been and will be inclusive. However people can participate, we are happy.
The writeup in the prompt was just for some people that did a lot of complaining about communities without understanding that there are some that have lots of rules and such... Not us :)

This is the first time I've heard of uptrennd... it looks interesting. I doubt I'll join it, though it is nice to see that there's other options available for those who may wish to take it!
I had never heard of it either. And I don't think there is anyone with a 100 reputation on Steem 😂 - there 1000 points are safe!!
It's always good to have info on what else is out there. Not planning on leaving here but I've explored other options as well myself. Thanks for the info.

I think Narrative sun-setted a couple of months ago... I have to say I don't think I have the energy for another platform. If steem goes tits up then I think that is me, done!
I hear you! Every new platform takes a lot of work and often, they disappear - have been down that road for a few times...
