Speak on Steem | Curator Application February 2026

Video content continues to evolve and grow every day. Since implementing SpeemClips, a vertical video format with infinite scrolling designed to generate greater user engagement with the application, we have seen a surge in new users. Vertical content is among the most viral content types on any social network today, so this addition puts Steem at the forefront by introducing a trend characteristic of modern social media.

This month, we plan to continue with our curation guidelines to tailor the voting process and ensure it reaches more people who create high-quality content. We also plan to continue promoting and supporting initiatives that help users learn how to improve their videos and create dynamic content for Steem, especially through the use of IPFS.

For this reason and following our long-term philosophy today again we are postulating with this project that will be developed over time and that will be established in Steem, as one of the main exponents of the ecosystem.

Speak on Steem, is a project that is empowering video creators in Steem, providing them with an adequate and optimized space for consumption and interaction with this type of content format.

Details of how a Community Curation account would help their game or app develop and grow.
Having a specific curator account for this type of content will be extremely useful to be able to continue promoting contests and initiatives that are based on this format. Having that support is a 100% benefit for the community.

Our Team

The three members of the team make up the Video Watchers group, who are responsible for promoting the Speem application and encouraging this type of content within Steemit.

1- @marvinvelasquez

My name is Marvin Velasquez, I'm from Venezuela, and I'm a retired police officer. I worked for 16 years, during this period I worked as a physical trainer and military instructor, and decided to leave the force to pursue other things, including a quieter life. I speak Spanish as my native language, with knowledge of English, Italian, and Portuguese.

I joined Steemit in 2021, and since then I've dedicated myself to supporting all the initiatives proposed on the platform. I've held several positions within communities and initiatives that have helped me understand how it works and the proper use of the available resources. These positions include: Moderator in Recreative Steem Community, Moderator in Steem Venezuela Community, Moderator in Comunidad Latina (At the moment), Teacher in season 22 of the Steemit Engagement Challenge, Video Watcher and collaborator on the project Speak on Steem (At the moment), and Curator with the Booming 03 account for four periods.

I am Ninapenda from Nigeria. I started my journey on Steemit in 2020 and have been a committed user ever since, working hard to contribute to the Steemit ecosystem.

I have served as a moderator in various communities, which has helped me grow my influence, reputation, and popularity on the platform.

I consistently share valuable content to help users express their ideas and gain knowledge, allowing me to educate more people within the community. I put great effort into fulfilling my responsibilities as a moderator, serving in two communities.

In November 2024 and July 2025, I had the chance to be a curator and it was a great experience with no regrets. This experience taught me about the platform's ethics and has helped me maintain my steeze on Steemit.

I believe that another opportunity as a curator would further enhance my contributions.
