THE DIARY GAME (26/12/2024) : I ate street food after a long time

Assalamu Alaikum steemian friends. Hope you all are well. By the grace of Allah I am also well. So I woke up early in the morning, prayed Fajr, then spent some time on Steemit. Then on a winter morning I took my cousin to a special place where street food is popular. We went and ordered hot haleem.

People's interest in hot street food increases during winter and haleem is a hit item during this season. The cold wind of winter and the smoky hot haleem is a unique feeling. The fun of eating haleem from roadside stalls is different, especially in the afternoon while walking. But we ate in the morning. Haleem's spicy taste and thick texture make it one of the first favorites in winters.

The following ingredients are usually required to make Halim:

01	Meat	Beef, mutton or chicken (beef is more popular).
02	Pulses	A mix of lentil, mung, arahar, gram and maskalai pulses.
03	Wheat/wheat grains or flour paste	To increase the density of halim.
04	Onions	Fried onions
05	Oil or Ghee	For flavor enhancement.

Haleem cooking usually takes a lot of time as all the ingredients have to be mixed well together to bring out just the right taste. If you want to make and eat it yourself on a cold afternoon, it will be a great experience haha. Anyway, after that we saw the village market and my cousin was buying some delicious food from there.

Our village bazaar usually offers a wide variety of delicacies that carry the traditional taste of rural Bengal. These include manda mithai, jaggery sandesh, milk and jaggery on fresh chitai pitha, rasgolla or chamcham. Different types of biscuits, different sweets etc. The natural and fresh taste of village market food is much more attractive than city food.

Then I came home from there. After I got home I spent some time on Steemit. Thus it was noon. In the afternoon I took a bath and freshened up and then went to the mosque and offered Zohar prayer. I came out of the mosque after praying and stood under the sun for quite some time because standing under the sun on a winter afternoon is a different kind of fun. I stood for some time because the sun has Vitamin D and then came home. Then I went to my cousins ​​house and ate pomegranate. It was bright red and delicious to eat.

After that I had lunch with everyone and then rested for some time and thus it was afternoon. In the afternoon I went for a walk to the depths of our village. I love to enjoy the beauty of the village on a winter afternoon. There is an old palm tree of our village and a palm tree on its right side.

The scene of palm trees on one side and palm trees on the other side in the winter afternoon made the ever-known beauty of rural Bengal more visible. The tall body of the palm tree along with the cool breeze and the shade of the palm trees bring a kind of peace and tranquility.

The chirping of the birds perched on the palm trees and the light smell of the sap dripping from the palm trees made the whole atmosphere more charming.

I was walking from there to my friend's house. So the joy of the heat of the sun on a winter afternoon was very wonderful. The joy of standing in the sunshine on a winter day is truly different.

When the chilly feeling of the morning mingles with the warmth of the sun, a kind of comforting warmth envelops the entire body. It feels like the sun is just hugging you. At such a moment I took a picture of this sunny environment.

Then I prayed Asr on the street and then I walked again to my friend's house. Went there and met him and chatted for a while. Then I stood on the roof of his house for a while and he gave me the picture.

In fact, the feeling of standing on the roof of the house on a winter afternoon is absolutely magical. The combination of the cold air with the light sun has brought a strange calmness. The soft afternoon light spilling over the roof made those moments more colorful.

At this time, it is nice to see the surrounding view from the roof, as well as the aroma of cooking in the air, the call of birds created a pleasant atmosphere. Then I went to the nearby mosque to offer Maghrib prayers.

In the evening it was mildly cold but we went to the market on foot. My friend went there and did some shopping. Bought some for his hostel from grocery store. At that moment he gave me a babylon chocolate which was too wonderful to eat.

Then I came home from there. When I got home I spent some time in my room on Steemit. After that, I went to the mosque and prayed and came home. Came home had some food at night then went to my cousins ​​house and chatted for a while. Then came to my room and finished all my work. Then I went to bed and ended the day like today.
