Weekly Contest - Best Diary Game: [2/04/2025] A rainy day in my hometown.

Hello, beautiful friends! Happy new month to everyone here and across the globe. It's your favorite girl, @missyleo. It's been a while, and I must say, I'm a bit disappointed that no one checked in on me 😭. Anyway, I'm fully back now, and I'm excited to participate in this awesome weekly contest organized by @hive 180106. Let's get started!

Today's sleep was incredibly peaceful and enjoyable, thanks to the rain that fell throughout the night, making the house cool and perfect for a sound sleep.

The rain didn't stop when day broke; it continued into the day, making everything wet and uncomfortable. If I had my way, I would have kept sleeping, but unfortunately, I had to wake up and start getting ready for work. Initially, I didn't plan on eating breakfast, but the sound of the rain somehow triggered my hunger. So, I decided to prepare a hot cup of tea to start my day.

After breakfast, I prepared for work by arranging my badge and packing my lunch. It was still raining, so I put on my cardigan, opting not to carry an umbrella. With my cardigan, I was ready to head out.

When I got to the main road to hail a tricycle (keke), I found that there weren't any available, and people were crowded on the road, waiting for one to arrive. I waited for about five minutes before a tricycle finally showed up, and I hopped in. When I arrived at the office, the rain was still coming down, so I took a few photos with my phone before heading inside.

I managed to complete my cleaning and arrangement of goods in the office before settling in to relax. As I was trying to get some rest that morning, some customers started arriving to make purchases, which was unusual, especially considering the heavy rain. Thankfully, they found exactly what they were looking for, made their purchases, and left.

At 1 pm, I took my lunch break, even though I wasn't particularly hungry. However, since it was the scheduled lunchtime according to company policy, I went ahead and ate anyway.

After finishing my lunch and returning to the shop, I received a call from a friend who is an online bag vendor. I had ordered a small handbag from her, and she informed me that it had arrived. She asked me to pick up the waybill at the nearest bus stop. I obtained permission from my supervisor to step out and retrieve the waybill.

I quickly rushed out to get the waybill, as I was only given a few minutes to do so. If I didn't make it back in time, I would have been in trouble. I took it seriously and managed to meet the deadline. I didn't even stop to check the waybill before the person handed it over; my priority was to get back to the office on time. Thankfully, when I arrived and opened the package, I found that it was in perfect condition, unlike the "What I ordered vs. what I got"experiences many others have had 😂.

I was thrilled and called the vendor to express my gratitude once again. She was equally delighted to hear that I loved the handbag. Later, a few more customers arrived, some with their kids, and we attended to them efficiently.

After they left, I started feeling hungry. Luckily, I had brought a cucumber to the office, so I pulled it out to eat. That's when one of my colleagues also brought out the bread she had brought from home to eat. I asked her if I could have two slices, and she agreed. I combined the bread with my cucumber and enjoyed the snack. My colleague couldn't help but laugh at the unusual food combination I had created 🤣.

As I was eating, another customer walked in, so I quickly set my food aside and attended to them. Once they were taken care of, I returned to finish my snack. At 5 pm, my alarm reminded me of my online class, which I had been eagerly awaiting. I put everything else on hold and joined the class.

After the class, which normally lasts an hour but was shortened to 45 minutes due to internet connectivity issues, our instructor ended the session. Many students had been complaining about the poor network, which I attributed to the cloudy and rainy weather.

As it was nearing our closing time at the office, our supervisor instructed us to start packing up and locking the doors so we could head home before the rain intensified and made it difficult to leave. We secured the entire store, and one of my colleagues grabbed the office umbrella while I put on my cardigan from earlier that morning. Then, we set off into the rain.

As soon as I got home, I started doing laundry since I had a few dirty clothes to wash. After that, I prepared dinner. Before eating, I took a warm bath and applied hot balm to my feet. Feeling refreshed, I then had my dinner before retiring to bed.
