RE: Goodbye Steemit

Bro, look at that! See, enough people value what you say that they hooked you up with some credits.

You've helped me out a lot on here before the RC thing was a thing. Hate to see a good steemian held back by a system that's supposed to penalize scammers. Looks like you're good to go now. Check https://steemd.com/@joesal and it'll tell you your RC and recharge rates as well as how much interaction your current level will support.

You have helped me out as well and I thank you for it. I was using defecting out of the system as a way to signal that the RC thing is a bad idea. There are probably many who have went inactive or are outright defecting because of this, if too many on the bottom are retained, then that signal doesn't get to the top. It turns into a limitation of participation at the bottom, either resources are delegated, or the bottom is forced to invest to participate.

That is problematic in that it is competing against someone setting the keyboard aside and going to talk to people with no RC restrictions. It's a hella business model error IMO. A healthy model should be promoting the most participation at the bottom tiers, as that's where the new comers will be.

Ooh, how bout this.

If you don't want the steem for powering up, cool. What if I sponsor you six shares in SBI? That way we both benefit and it'll boost your post earnings a bit.

Yeah, the RC sucks for some folks, but it's a big opportunity to prove the strength of community. Folks will support and delegate to smaller accounts if they see value in them. I think it's a good opportunity.
