And if there is a device capable of saving lives by identifying brain hemorrhages and traumatic injuries in a matter of seconds, even in the most challenging environments such as battlefields or medical emergencies, it is the NeuroHawk, a non-invasive brain scanner that combines cutting-edge technology and practicality to offer fast and accurate diagnoses.

Now with a $2 million contract awarded by the United States Department of Defense, this innovative tool is about to be tested in real conditions. Developed by Sense Neuro Diagnostics, the NeuroHawk uses low-power radiofrequency to detect hemorrhages in specific areas of the brain.

A technology that promises to save lives.

This technology could make the difference between life and death and critical situations, such as military combat or medical emergencies, currently traditional methods for this type of diagnosis depend on subjective evaluations which can lead to errors or delays, with the NeuroHawk Doctors and rescue teams will be able to make faster and more accurate decisions, reducing the risk of secondary complications and improving patient outcomes.

According to Sense Neuro Diagnostics, this technology is especially relevant for military personnel who face an increasing number of traumas due to the modernization of conflicts, such as the use of kamikaze drones. In the last 20 years, approximately 420,000 US military personnel have suffered traumatic brain injuries, a statistic alarming that underlines the need for innovative solutions like the NeuroHawk.

The trials are scheduled to begin in June 2025 and will extend for 30 months. These will evaluate the effectiveness of the device in high-pressure environments by verifying its ability to locate hemorrhages and diagnose accurately. The ultimate goal is to obtain FDA approval for a full commercial launch shortly after testing was completed.

Although NeuroHawk's initial focus is use in military settings, its potential impact could go much further - the device will also be approved for commercial applications in hospitals and emergency medical services, where it could revolutionize the treatment of strokes and other serious brain injuries. .

The NeuroHawk not only promises to redefine diagnostics in critical situations, but could also be a crucial step towards faster, more accurate and accessible medical care, saving countless lives around the world.
