Knitting in a cowl in three countries by @neumannsalva

neumannsalva65.png

For us needleartists, one of the best ways to travel is to be able to bring along and work on our projects while we travel. @neumannsalva demonstrates to us how much fun it was to be able to knit a cowl in three countries. Lets travel with her as she brings us along with beautiful photos, a short video and adventure :)

Thank you for this lovely compilation. I am so amazed about @akipponn‘s mittens. I love everything, the heathered green, the thick wool and the cables (which remind me, that I still have not tried out to knit cables)

Wow! Happy travel @neumannsalva yeah we are not complete if we travel without bringing along our passion, super relate.

For small cables you don't need a cable needle, which makes knitting cables (or twisted stitches) so much easier and faster. I learnt that for my cotton hat - Sylvie Rasch shows two techniques. The first one is great for crossing two stitches - it's really fast (she fights a bit with the stitches, but I think that's cause it's cotton yarn). The second technique works when you have more stitches in a cable. It might look complicated at first, but it's way better than fiddling with an additional needle.

For the "throwers and pickers" - there surely are a lot of videos showing how to do that, take a look ;)

Sigh... so many things to try :-DDD Thank you so much for recommending this helpful technique, now you only have to motivate me to finish some things from my huge ufo pile and than I am good to try.

There's a difference between UFO and WiP. UFOs are at the back of your closet and they donct count, only think of your WiPs ;)

OH GOD... I think I have both in huge numbers. There is a pair of socks and a cowl (Christmas presents), a sweater and a cardigan I must sew together, two cardigans I knit, a shawl I currently knit and two crochet sweater... I did not mentioned the things I hide in my bedroom. Please don't tell. :-DDD

Thank you so much for the feature! We had some really great reads this week and I still need to make my comment rounds.

Great curation @marblely ;D

Thank you @crosheille! It was fun putting this together :)

Absolutely ;)

Very nice all the works...you can see a lot of dedication in the clothes. I am happy to know that in the world continue to use woven garments and continue innovating in this area.

Some are scared of mice but perhaps those cute baby mice by inici-arte will help change your mind.

Hehe yes those little fellas are really cute.
