Do you like playing sports? If yes then, which sport do you enjoy the most, and why?
Yes, I love to play sports. The sports I enjoy most out of all is swimming. I'm a huge huge huge fan of the swimming pool. So twice in a month, I make sure to go for swimming. Swimming gives me the combination of physical and mental benefits asides from the fun aspect of it. Having to go with friends, makes it even more fun.
How has playing sports improved your physical and mental health?
There are several reasons why i enjoy swimming. Here are some possible reasons as to how it has improved my health both physically and mentally.
Relaxation/stress relief: once I go for swimming, it does the job of calming and it's a meditative activity, it sure helps me when my stress level is up the roof.
Exercise/fitness: since my research shows that swimming is a good form of exercise , I've been using it as a means of improving my cardiovascular health, it also strengthens my muscles.
Sense of freedom: when gliding through the water, it makes me feel free and weightless.
Fun/enjoyment: It's top fun for me when I go to the pool with family or friends. It's filled with competitions, shouts of fun, ball playing, etc.
Benefits on mental health: reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety is a good way swimming is beneficial to my mental health.
How staying away from sports can affect a person's mental and physical health?
Staying away from sports has it's huge mental and physical impact on a person. Some of its ways it affects are:
Staying away from sports can actually cause weight gain when you're just eating in and not working it out.
It can also cause poor sleep quality for some persons since you're not burning some fat.
No sports can increase stress and anxiety.
It can cause stiffness and increase fall and injury risk.
Do you believe everyone should include some form of sports in their routine? Why or why not?
Yes, everyone should include some form of sport in their routine, even though it's not daily. Reasons are the reasons I gave above as to how playing sport has improved my physical and mental health.
