When love is lost, do not go missing too!
Unrequited love is one of the most painful thing to go through, but more hurtful is when existing love fades on one side. However, we have to remember that nothing is permanent in this world. Not even our pains.
Romantic love or love generally is a topic a lot of people never want to talk about because of the strong emotional feelings attached to it.
Unrequited love and lost love have driven so many people to their early graves. Some pick up unhealthy habits that eventually destroys them, while others go straight into committing suicide.
Two days ago, a popular Nigerian DJ committed suicide because his wife left him. Two weeks ago, a young girl committed suicide because she felt unloved by her mum.
Lost of love is one of the major causes of depression. When people get overpowered by depression and they bow to suicidal thoughts, the world blame them. But only those who have never been through depression would do such thing.
Depression is actually worse than you may be thinking. Depression affects the brain. It distorts the person's mental health. Depression is actually a medical condition that should be redressed immediately.
One of the most stupid things to do is to blame a depressed person, especially when the root cause of the depression is love related issues. No matter how some of us try hard to deny or ignore this topic, Let's all face facts;
every human wants to love and be loved.
Love is a part of our human make-up and we cannot run away from this truth no matter how hard we try. Love is a strong force that can drive anyone to do things unimaginable.
When love is found, it can be a shield to a lot of life's troubles and a driving force to success. But when love is lost, it can strip off the flavour of existence for some people.
However, when we are faced with lost love and we learn to divert this strong emotional feelings fast enough, it can be our stepping stone to greater life experiences.
How do we divert this strong emotional feelings? Why does lost love push people into committing suicide? Is depression treatable?
These are all the questions I'll address in the next post. Please watch out for my subsequent posts.
