I woke up thinking about the future of Steemit.
To be sincere, I feel discouraged telling people about Steemit considering the fact that politics has taking over the steemiverse.
Posts no longer get curated because they are valuable but for sentimental basis.
Steemit has turned from a social media to a full time job that requires one attending several meet up, relating with several whales before one could get recognized in the community.
How can a 9-5 employee make out time to attend these meet ups. How can a poor new steemians who is a student make it to these politics behind steemit.
I weep when I see alot of great posts get side lined all because the authors ain't in any way worshipping whales.
The only way steemit could be restored to its initial purpose is when we all work as a team. Curating only posts that's worth our upvotes and not for sentimental reasons.
The only way new bies will appreciate the beauty of this community is when we fall back to the basis.ets encourage great posts.

You are very correct Boss. But those that are doing the "worshipping whales stuff" are not even concerned about this , and will not do anything about this in as much as the whales still give them wat they want.
Maybe this post should be sent to the whales, who are thinking in this direction.
I pray they look into this.
The community should be growing out of Love and not sentiment
If it continues this way, with the current drop in the crypto market, who will hear about steemit and smile not to talk about joining?
Sincerely, I am not confused but find the same thing here. I mean the same thing that put the world in disorder. Unity and sincerity makes the best community either offline or online.

Anyway, we are in beta phase, maybe it will be better in the next phase. For those who find it difficult with the way things are going right now. The only solution we have is to keep producing quality content: text, audio, video.

Supporting your view. As in people don't vote quality content naturally. And those who have the voting power that can earn we newbies some dollar, sell the vote instead of using it to encourage the newbies. As you said, teamwork is the best.
But on this view. Someone in this community said steemit is 90% business and 10% . social as a result, whaels have choice of what to do with their vote. It is their resources

But even at that, the dream of Dan and Ned wasn't to enrich the rich the more and starve the poor.
Let the whales try as much as they can to enrich some broke guys...
The two articles I wrote in line with this related this. The vision is different, but when money is involved, people always find a way to manipulate things and that's the case here. But I believe the guys will not fooled their hands and let things go like this.

But Mr @onyemacourage, I did some research and after my research, I found out that, all this is happening because people's post, as good as they could think of or as good as it is, are not always upvoted. They feel bad look other ways to make it. They get to ask one or two persons who in turn lead them to the whales..

Even a meet-up, no body's even concerned, not even the least thing like view and pass.
SO, WHAT DO YOU ADVICE???
If politics in the steemiverse is neglected, it will not only tamper with the morale of the existing steemians, it will further discourage new members from joining.
While many are always free to connect offline at meet ups and relate with whales as due, many are busy with their other sphere of life.
Now we make it difficult to many to join the platform, they are like, it's time consuming. They need to take days off from work to attend meet ups etc before they could earn a vote to their well documented and researched posts...
Steemit is almost if not totally abused right now as most persons have thrown away the social media aspect of it turning it into politics.
