My story : The children are so excited to go out again today!
Hello, my lovely friends. Today was another day with lots of activities, especially for the kids. They were so excited when my husband told them we were going to visit a place we'd never been to before. Before it became a shopping mall, this place used to be a prison in Malaysia, located in the heart of KL. Sometimes my husband tells me the name of the place, but I'm forgetful, haha. And before heading home, we also took the kids out for dinner. Overall, they were very happy and excited today. I was also amazed because it was a place I'd never been to before, even though I've lived here for over 10 years.
We left home around 12 noon. The drive took about an hour and a half, but using the expressway saved almost 20 minutes. From the expressway, I could see the distant views; the KLCC twin towers, Petronas, and a newly constructed bank building that's now the tallest in Malaysia – I can't remember its name.
This place is quite large, with five floors in total. The ground floor is a food court, while the top floors mainly house a movie theater and a few restaurants. As we walked around, we noticed that most of the shops sold Japanese dolls and manga. During their events, we saw many children dressed as their favorite Japanese dolls from the manga walking by. My daughter stared at them with wide eyes because they were so cute and looked just like characters from the manga...
Every shop we passed was a toy and gift shop with lots of cute items. My two daughters went into every shop as well, while my husband and I waited outside, teaching the children to be careful when choosing items and not to touch anything carelessly. There were also large, beautiful posters for them to look at. I think my daughters were the happiest person today.
In addition, the top floor of the mall has doors that open onto an outdoor plaza. This year, there will also be dog activities in this plaza. The view from the top is amazing, especially in the evening when the sunlight illuminates the tallest building in Malaysia, which I believe is a newly completed bank building. This has also become a popular check-in spot. Many people come up here to take photos or just stroll around and enjoy the view. There's even a go-kart track on the mezzanine level. We spent quite a while here because the breeze was cool and the atmosphere was great. Afterwards, it was time to head home, but before that, we decided to grab something to eat since we'd come all this way.
After deciding what to eat, we finally settled on our favorite pork soup restaurant. It was a bit of a drive, but it was on our way home, so it wasn't a problem. When we arrived, my daughter ordered pork soup with instant noodles, while my husband and I had pork soup with rice. We love the food here because the broth is rich, flavorful, and delicious. And the portions are really generous. After finishing our meal, we walked to the supermarket, which mostly sells groceries. We went inside, bought some snacks, and then drove home. The kids were still wide awake and didn't fall asleep tonight, haha, they were so happy! Thank you for reading my article, and see you in the next one! Bye!
