WHY I CLOSED MY COINBASE ACCOUNT

in #coinbase7 years ago

Today I closed my Coinbase account without ever having funded it. I found using Coinbase to be just one giant pain in the arse. Everytime I signed in I had to get a code on my phone and then type it in. When I tried to fund my account with my bank debit card Coinbase refused me and then I received a robo call from my bank fraud department. What's next Coinbase, a swat team kicking my door in because I tried to put twenty bucks into my account? Thanks but no thanks Coinbase, I just don't need the hassles of your website.dge.png

Welcome to the world of centralized crypto exchanges😖

The code on your phone is called 2FA (i.e. two-factor authentication) and it's actually not such a bad idea, as it makes it MUCH harder for you to get hacked while on the exchange.

As for your debit card issue, well, I'm not sure about that?

But these centralized crypto exchanges do make it a security nightmare to sign up. Seems they want every bit of your personal information.

I'm sure they'd ask for a DNA sample it they thought customers would oblige 😉

you didn't have to give your DNA??? lucky

thanks for the feedback. i'm looking at trying changejelly.
