“I must have flowers, always, and always.” (Claude Monet ) . . ..
The French Impressionist painter Claude Monet is known for his many paintings of water lilies in the pond in his garden at Giverny.
Extraordinary the water lilies cycle that is in the Orangerie Museum in Paris.
Offered to the French State by the painter Claude Monet on the day that followed the Armistice of November 11, 1918 as a symbol for peace, the Water Lilies are installed according to plan at the Orangerie Museum in 1927, a few months after his death.
The set is one of the largest monumental achievements of early twentieth century painting.
Visiting Monet's garden in Giverny really made me feel like I really appreciate the work and mastery of this artist.
A part of this garden is the Japanese one, with the pond that contains the famous water lilies photographed by him.
Interesting to see the environment where these works of art were born.
Thanks for your time.
