STEEM WARS: DAY 2: THE 80’s: TEAM AUSTRALIA Sergeant Scooter

Sergeant Scooter reporting for duty Sir!
Throwing down the gauntlet to all of our opponents I want to remind you of the good, the bad and the absolutely ugly from the 80’s. The 80’s was a time of fun, frivolity and pure craziness (for those of us who remember them, or were actually born then). Thanks to TeamUSA, most of the 80's horridness can be blamed on them.....
Starting with this style icon. In Australia, you weren’t worth even talking to unless you were sporting one of these…….

Phones, oh yeah, I remember those, hanging on the wall and make that annoying ringing sound. Dialling 000 (Australian equivalent of 911) took a day and a half……

Safety, WH&S, what is that? No need for cotton wool or helicopter parents in this decade….

Cars of the 80’s, everyone had one. Big metal boxes driving down the road. Fuel saving, what was that?

Terrorism in the 80’s? What was that? All you needed to do was call one guy….. Obviously an Australian!

And who can remember this hero? We have TeamUSA to thank for this one…

And no hark back to the 80’s can be had without a shout out to these legends. Hulkamania Rulz.

It was the dawn of the age of computers and words like software and hardware... Here is an early picture of TeamGB's fearless leader @Tremendospercy 'Hard at work' (or is that working hard??)

And of course, who could forget Australia's greatest invention, the Rubiks Cube....(or was it hungarian?) It doesn't matter, we have now claimed it (just like we did Russell Crowe!)

To sign out, I will leave you with an early picture of me...

And one of Colonel imposter... I mean Colonel Hogan @swenger

And my school said our class pictures would be kept private! That's what I get for trusting them. We rode in the back of pickup trucks, and the back section of station wagons. Seat belts? Ha! You could hit a brick wall and not dent the car, and just bounce around inside like a pinball.
Seatbelts? What were they. Sliding from one side of the backseat to the other was mandatory when going around corners...

i remember the 80s was a time for breeding - it was when i created 2 more aussies for the wars to come
I can't wait for tomorrow one :D
Don't forget we had this:
Mic drop, oops, I mean puck drop...
What game would this be? Is that ice on they are standing on? Don't you need cold to have ice, freezing cold? Who wants to be so cold that your nipples are constantly hard? And then slap a bit of rubber around with a pole? Nearly sounds a bit NSFW If you ask me!! As a teamaustralia member, I cannot condone or endorse this game you call slap happy! (Although I secretly think it's awesome, but don't tell anyone) Australia doesn't even play ice puckery!
It's not even a sport that we invented. It just goes along with our world domination. This is where the American Ego, I mean Spirit comes into account. If we are going to do something then we might as well be the best at it. You understand what I am saying, right Mate?
I can't be mad with teamdownunder, ya'll gave us
Prawns on the Barbie? Love the analogy!
I resembled all these remarks (in post)
Except half shirt kid. I know nothing about such travesties!
