The Church of Steem
I went out into the world
to find the church of Steem.
Overcame mountains, crossed seas.
Saw huge valleys, deep caves.
I researched many secrets.
Then my belief almost wanted to leave me
I found a small island.
17 day trips from England,
I took the ship
Heading west.
A small dreamy island.
That was what I had been looking for for so long.
Here it was, the Church of Steem.
Stories were told about
but only few saw it.
I found it
and my faith grew strong again.
I found the Church of Steem!

Vielleicht macht es ein bisschen gute Laune.
Die Kirche von Steem
Ich ging hinaus in die Welt,
zu finden die Kirche von Steem.
Überwand Gebirge, durchfuhr Meere.
Sah riesige Täler, tiefe Höhlen.
Ich erforschte viele Geheimnisse.
Dann, mein Glaube wollte mich fast verlassen,
fand ich eine kleine Insel.
17 Tagesfahrten von England entfernt,
fuhr ich mit dem Schiff
Richtung Westen.
Eine kleine verträumte Insel.
Das war es, wonach ich so lange gesucht hatte.
Hier war sie, die Kirche von Steem.
In Geschichten erzählte man davon,
doch gesehen haben sie nur wenige.
Ich habe sie gefunden
und mein Glaube wurde wieder stark.
Ich fand die Kirche von Steem!
Geschrieben für die Nachwelt,
im Jahre des Erbarmens.

Are you proud to have taken part in the theft yourself? Why would you guys use an anonymous account anyway. If it really belongs to "the community", then why not put it into an account like the SPS where "the community" controls it as opposed to some anonymous individual. Additionally, why have these previously powered up funds immediately vailable as liquid? Where were you going to send them? You should be ashamed of yourself.
The best thing that could have happened to Steem is for those funds to be directly returned to their owners. Steem would have been rid of them. If your heist goes through, we will have them here forever.

I read about the hack, but if you write it yourself here, I believe it. How is that possible. Is there a back door in the code?
The account was created using 'anonsteem' and they temporarily store the Master Password on their server for the case of new users losing their keys. Now this 'safety feature' has been used to take over the account.
Probably just in a txt file with public read permissons :-).
That's highly unlikely, because the guy is a pro dev. You can even access the service on the deep web for extra anonymity. I don't know any other Steem service that offers something similar.
The facts speak for themselves and we have further proof here that 100% security is an illusion.
