I placed my SteemAtlas pin at Chef’s Table Courtside, located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is a restaurant courtyard where people can do much more than just eat. Here, you can spend time in different exciting spots, play small games, enjoy light shopping, and most importantly, relax in a beautiful environment surrounded by nature.

The courtyard is open and decorated with green plants and small water fountains, which create a calm feeling even in the middle of a busy city. I personally liked this place because it offers a rare combination of food, nature, and aesthetic beauty, something I have not experienced elsewhere.

At night, when the lights turn on, the entire courtyard becomes more lively and attractive. It is hard to believe that such a peaceful place exists inside a crowded city. Standing there, it feels as if I have stepped outside Dhaka for a while.

The colour that impressed me the most in this location is green. Green dominates the space through trees, leafy branches, grass-covered floors, and the greenery surrounding the water pool. Even inside the restaurant areas, flower plants add more green touches. This colour is not limited to one single spot, it spreads softly through many small details.

At night, the white decorative lights hanging on the trees blend beautifully with the green leaves. When the lights reflect on the water, the green colour feels deeper and more calming.

While standing beside the pool, I noticed something a bit later, the fish. The orange-coloured fish inside the pool create a beautiful contrast with the green surroundings. At first glance, they almost looked like fallen leaves under the water.

One corner had a red glowing lamp, which immediately caught my attention. Surrounded by green, it added warmth and a different kind of beauty. Interestingly, the lamp reminded me of something from a Harry Potter movie.

The white stones placed beside the pool also stood out to me. They seemed to enhance the overall beauty of the place and balanced the colours very nicely.

The reason green is so dominant here is intentional design and nature-friendly planning. In a crowded city, such a place cannot exist without thoughtful design. The open space and greenery were created purposely to offer a piece of calm green nature inside concrete and traffic-filled surroundings. Here, green is not a coincidence, it is the identity of the place.

Because of this dominance, green makes the courtyard feel peaceful, relaxing, and soothing. Seen through the filter of green, the place feels like one where time slows down and the mind naturally finds calm.

Short Narrative – My Story in One Color

I chose green for this place because it matches my inner state of mind. I love green environments. In busy city life, I always look for something that can calm both my eyes and my mind. Green represents peace to me. Memories of my childhood connected to green trees, green paddy fields, and green playgrounds still pull me toward this colour.

In a city like Dhaka, when I do not see green, I sometimes feel like a prisoner inside concrete walls. Chef’s Table Courtside felt different. Here, green did not hit my eyes suddenly. Instead, it revealed itself slowly. Through trees, grass, and leaves, green spreads gently. The white lights and water reflections make the atmosphere even calmer. This colour does not create excitement or warmth, it creates silence and peace.

Standing quietly beside the pool and taking photos became a special moment for me. Surrounded by green, it felt like this was a unique place inside the city, almost as if I had left Dhaka for a short escape. At that moment, the city’s tiredness completely disappeared.

Although I did not participate in the Sound Map or Origin Point challenges, I believe that after those journeys, choosing green makes perfect sense. Green represents calmness and it cools my eyes, softens my emotions, and gently teaches my mind how to be peaceful.

To me, Chef’s Table Courtside is not only about food or fun. It is a place where light, colour, and nature work together to create calm. If I had to describe it with one colour, it would be the one that refreshes my mind.
