SC-S29|Geo-Quest Mystery – Week 1: The Origin Point

in #geoquestmystery-s29w13 days ago (edited)

The Jamuna River is one of the famous rivers of Bangladesh. SC-S29|Geo-Quest Mystery – Week 1: This is one of the places I would like to participate in the Origin Point competition. I will enter this contest by reviewing the scenery and conditions along the banks of the Yamuna River. I hope you will stay with me.

The Jamuna River is the longest river flowing through seven districts of Bangladesh. I reviewed it from Tangail, one of the districts of Bangladesh. It is located between Sirajganj and Tangail districts. The Yamuna River is a very well-known place as a connecting point and a separate point between two districts. It is winter now and the river water has gone down a lot. The moment you imagine, the water here is very clear. This place is unique to me for enjoying a comfortable and pleasant environment.

The clear water of the river and the vehicles moving on the river fascinate me even more. Sometimes you can see birds and their chirping on the river. But now all I can hear here is the sound of the river waves. The Yamuna River, located 12 kilometers from our village, has a surface area of about 1400 kilometers. I don't want to measure the depth of the river, because this river is also very deep. I am happy to spend a few moments here in the clear water.

1000022479.jpgWater waves
1000022481.jpgFoam is produced in waves

The water waves crash against the shore as they move from the middle of the river. Foam forms as the gentle waves of river water hit the shore. They gradually turn from white to reddish and gray. I think the pictures mentioned above have shown you some evidence of the clear water and waves of this river. When the waves of clear river water hit the sand, the sand erodes and foam is produced. This is how the flowing waves of the river break and build up the riverbank.

One side of the river has collapsed and silt has accumulated on the other side. And along the riverbank, crops are flourishing under the skillful hands of farmers. I went down to the riverbank and wanted to take a bath, but considering my body's condition, I also found pleasure in dipping my feet here. The silt on the riverbank, with human footprints on it, looks as soft as clay. I tried to prove it in the pictures.

1000022552.jpgRice on the river bank
1000022550.jpgTo dip one's feet in the river water

Boats sailing from the riverbank are constantly searching for their destination. Signs have been placed here to help people find their destination from the vastness of the river on the banks. To help find the destination, a long dead bamboo has been placed on the riverbank, along with a red cloth. This red cloth, along with the bamboo, will help the boatman identify his destination. Otherwise, the boatman may lose his destination. All of these rural people have expressed unique thoughts.

Cultivating rice on the banks of rivers is one of the traditions of Bangladesh. Different seasonal rice varieties are cultivated on the banks of every river in the country. These are considered one of the main means of livelihood in rural life. This paddy will become rice, and that rice will brighten the life of a family. I thoroughly enjoyed the rural beauty and the unique beauty of the riverbank. Below I have highlighted some more scenes, which illustrate the situation in this place.

I used my bike to travel here. I thought about coming 12 kilometers from home to enjoy this beauty and the vastness of the river. I am also concerned about the depth of the river and the aquatic species. I immersed myself in photography and videography here, because I wanted to make this place more authentic for you.

Perhaps the pictures below will be enough to prove my position here. I tried to present this place to you in a more unique way by providing my selfie with bike and key photography. The beauty here is unique and the views will make you more lively. You will no doubt enjoy refreshing your mind and getting lost in nature. To enjoy this view, you have to be generous like me. Only then will these beautiful views force you to emerge as a nature lover.

I enjoyed and reviewed these scenes. I have highlighted the beautiful scenery and the situation along the river. I tried to prove what motivates you. A place that makes our minds happy and helps us forget our sadness. I think the video below will be helpful in enjoying the voice of the river in a more profound way.

Dear brother, you have told us about a part of the Yamuna River. The Yamuna River is one of the major rivers of our country. The depth of the river is very high. You have shared some very beautiful pictures of the Yamuna River. Farmers earn their living by cultivating rice on the banks of the river. Apart from this, some people earn their living by fishing in the river. Seeing the pictures of the river has made me want to travel to the river. You have presented it very beautifully. Best wishes to you.

Thank you very much brother for a nice comment. I am very familiar with this river, I have traveled this river several times. I am glad to know that seeing the riverside scenery has awakened your desire to travel. Have a nice day. 😍

Thank you for your participation in Geo-Quest Mystery – Week 1: The Origin Point. Here is an evaluation of the post by @solaymann, following the official Week 1 rubric for Geo-Quest Mystery.

Evaluation Summary

CriteriaScoreComments
1. SteemAtlas Pin & Description1.4 / 1.5The SteemAtlas pin is clearly included with coordinates and a named spot (Jamuna River Ghat), plus location link. Good descriptive context (district reference, distance from home). To reach full points, add a concise visitor-friendly line (nearest town/landmark + what to look for on arrival).
2. Creativity of Mission & Hidden Clue1.2 / 2.0The riverbank origin point is meaningful, and the post includes strong observational detail (waves, foam, erosion, farming, destination signs). However, the required hidden clue (acrostic or emoji-code word describing you) is not clearly included, which reduces this score.
3. Speem.watch Proof Video1.5 / 2.0The post includes an IPFS video and indicates “Posted with Speem,” and the video was reviewed by a Speem watcher. For full points, provide a direct Speem.watch link and ensure the clip includes a clear spoken “starting point” message while showing recognizable markers of the exact spot.
4. Storytelling Quality1.7 / 2.0Strong descriptive storytelling with authentic details (winter low water level, rural signs, paddy cultivation, bike travel). The writing is informative and immersive; a slightly clearer beginning–middle–end structure would make it even stronger.
5. Photos Quality & Authenticity1.5 / 1.5Good authentic photos with variety (waves, foam, rice fields, sign, bike/key/selfie). Visual proof strongly supports the narrative.
6. Engagement (Comments / Clue Guessing)0.4 / 1.0The participant interacts in comments, but based on your note, they do not clearly attempt to guess hidden clues on other entries. Full points require guessing clues on at least two participants’ posts.

Final Score: 7.7 / 10

Remarks:
This is a visually strong and well-observed Origin Point entry with excellent realism and riverbank detail. The main improvements needed to score higher are: (1) include a clear hidden clue (acrostic or emoji-code word), and (2) meet the engagement requirement by commenting on at least two other entries and attempting to guess their hidden clues.
