In this photo they are firming up in the refrigerator. I made two kinds, one with pecans the other without. Both are great honestly and I like to roast almonds, macadamia, walnuts and others to place in the bars I made.

Honestly I dont think ill ever want to premade bar again, I just love my food I make soo much.

Fantastic shot.
Roasting your own nuts...impressive 👍🏽

@originalathena

Yep the almonds were raw and kinda chewy if I didnt. But yeah it takes some skill as there is a fine line between roasted nuts and burned nuts, only takes a few minutes too long. I try to stay in the kitchen if I do that to watch the oven.

thank you, agreed it does look good. I need to make some more.

It looks very nutritious.

@daysiselena

It sure is! Alot of healthy fats in it from the Cacao and nuts. The millet adds some nice fiber.

I can eat a bar and get back to work for another hour or two outside. It is good fuel for my body.

What about the taste?

Can it make a full stomach?

Good luck with the #foodphotography contest @solominer

@santiintan

For most people that love sugar my bars are pretty plain. I dont add sugar so many may not like them. I dont like sugar and what it does to my body so its a personal choice not to add any sugar.

Though I sometimes add honey or coconut butter which has some sugar but not very much.

Ive eaten a few that I would consider a full stomach, I did okay. But its better as a snack between meals I think. Good for outdoor work with all the fat in it.
