Health and humor in symbiosis
A few weeks ago I was in the hospital visiting a relative with a broken leg and there, in the corridors, I found this exhibit.
I have visited this hospital on other occasions, so I have seen other such exhibitions in it. And there is nothing surprising in that. The city I am talking about is the Bulgarian capital of humor and satire, Gabrovo.
And this exhibition comes from the museum of humor and satire in the city, which, admittedly, I do not remember if I ever visited, or maybe when I was very young.
More precisely, this plaque says that the exhibition of caricatures was donated by the museum and the municipality, a gift to patients and doctors, because "every smile extends our lives by at least a day".
It's called "Health and humor in symbiosis."
This is of course a great idea. When you're in the hospital, what's better than something to make you smile. Although in this way, although quite ironically. Because as funny as these cartoons are, they are not just funny, they ironize and rather make fun of us humans and our senseless modern way of life that kills us rather than enriches us.
And maybe these cartoons won't even make us smile, and maybe that wasn't the hidden purpose of the Museum of Humor and Satire. Perhaps the purpose of this exhibition is rather to make us think. Because what better place to make sense of and rethink our lives, than the hospital, when we end up in a hospital.
My relative made promises - when I get well, If I manage to recover, I will do this and that, I will not continue to live this way...
Well, everyone makes empty promises when they fear for their lives. Like they couldn't change it before. It didn't cost anything, just a decision. Which required an effort to be taken...
Well, I'm not here to judge people and their decisions or lack of decisions. You know that I personally often get lost in thoughts about how correct my personal life is and what I myself have been able to do to improve it. I can't say what's right and what's wrong, anyway. But still, what the exhibition shows us goes in a single progressive line, which does not represent anything good. At the same time, it shows our whole life in all its glory.
"The world is headed for destruction in its summary." I've been hearing this for quite some time now from every person I come into contact with lately. Even today, the day I'm writing this post, I was on the phone with a friend I hadn't heard from in a long time and she told me the same thing - "the world is headed for destruction and I can't even know if my kids will be able to live through one full life or the world will be destroyed before then." And this is said by a person whose life seems to be completely settled and well-arranged - a highly paid managerial position, own home, a happy family, etc.
What would a person who does not have all these think then?
The world is headed for its destruction. And nobody does anything about it. On the contrary, this destruction is aided and accelerated. People are being pushed in a certain direction... you can see in which one. Even if these people were once smart and reasonable, they easily become stupid and unreasonable. Thanks to technology, thanks to the modern lifestyle. Whether they fall into the trap of artificially maintaining an image on social networks or sharing every step and detail of their personal lives or falling victim to a scam, again because of these technologies, doesn't really matter. And the next step is to lose or simply forget the real human values, those that were reasonable and normal years before today's unfortunate moment.
Then come the stars of the day. For years, stars in Bulgaria have become rather low-intelligent and low-moral people. Reality shows create them. As if on purpose. Or maybe television is short of candidates for stars, so it only works with such people. But if a person, a young person or a child watches television, he can easily navigate the situation, which is as follows: the more stupid and unscrupulous a person is, the easier it is to become famous.
I recently discussed this very thing with my partner regarding The Bachelor, which I think should be banned or be watched at certain times out of reach for children or young people. Because: "what message will this show send to the younger generation?", I asked him.
"The message that will reveal to them the greatest truth in the modern world - that the more stupid and impudent you are, the easier you will succeed in life", he replied.
And he's actually right, although I didn't want to hear that exact answer.
Well, I actually intended this post to be a bit more visual than text. I thought I'd leave these all photos up for viewing and reflection.
And yet, I wrote some things in spite of everything.
It just happened that way.
I hope the text did not distract you from the main, the most important - the message of the pictures of caricatures from a hospital exhibition.

You're right, that's what they need. As well as a kind word and hope, but these two things can be replaced simply by a smile.
Yea true. A lot of people in the hospital really needs us to put smile on their face and they actually need it based on the condition they are

Every few hundred years, the Earth will reset itself. Maybe the time is near. 😊
It reminds me of the hysteria that happens every few years or every few decades, like in 1991 I think it was, 2000, 2012... The good thing is that people don't know exactly when the world will reset, like they don't know nothing at all, not even in their own lives.

If you ask me, many things in this life seem futile, quite pointless, despite our efforts, and our perception of it as something very important. On the one hand, everything has meaning on a personal basis, and this is very important to give meaning to our lives, but from the point of view of the timelessness of world existence, everything is meaningless. 😃

Out here in the middle of nowhere, one day three people came a man and two women, one was extremely beautiful. There were with the agriculture department. It was their job during the hunting season to stand where they were to watch for poachers all day or so they said.
That was at the height of the D.A.D.A.D.S. Stationary Tornadoes and the government had a large number of investigators because those large tornadoes was not the only thing. Small whirlwinds would the tornadoes and go out and come back after hours.
The beautiful lady said the same thing, Life is meaningless.
There's nothing like an educated woman who says that, gorgeous, but was taught, life is meaningless as a complete turnoff.
True. We all get depressed from time to time and she lived in motels with a group and they moved around, eating in restaurants and testing soils, and counting plants, paying off student loans.
Life is not meaningless. Life has meaning. What we do in this life echoes throughout eternity.
For we do not die. We learn while we are here. I believe the body creates the soul and our souls and even bodies are much more complicated than we think.

Your words make sense. Yes, life has meaning for those executives and creators of this game who know it. But personally, I'm tired of looking for it, as well as trying to explain inexplicable events to myself, as well as trying to do something and nothing works, because usually things don't depend on me at all, no matter how hard I try, as well as not finding meaning in anything.

I missed those days of watching those cartoons. They always help in putting on a smile for us
I am actually always amazed at the genius of the authors. Cartoons are the easiest way for artists to convey meaningful messages to their audience. Supposedly in an ironic way, but irony only covers up the real serious meaning, and this is the greatest charm and value of this art.
