Hello my dear Steemians,

Today I wanted to invite you to this challenge by Steem Kids & Parents Community:

Forgiveness unites family

When I saw the topic of this challenge I had to think about myself and how my attitude has changed during the ages and every stage of my life, often our opinion and position changes because of different circumstances and also our own experiences of life.

Children and: "Forgive? Never!"

Try to recall the time when we were little and played with our friends outside or maybe in nursery and later in early school years. We were very naive and trusted everyone but when discovered that we are been fooled it was like the whole world was falling apart and we thought that we never forgive the person for what he or she has done.

I recall how we siblings had the same situation and stopped speaking to each other for a day or so, of course, with plan to keep silence forever. But it did not last so long and few hours later we were playing again.

I am glad that that time in childhood our "Never forgiving" was not serious and we are all grown out of that time

Parents and children

As to parents our relationship is also changing while we are growing up and becoming parents myself.

For us, we often thought that our parents are strict and unfair treated if we by accident broke the window with football or if we have eaten all ice-cream because it was so delicious. Maybe we have to stay in our room for the whole sunny hot weekend and do additional math instead of playing with our friends only because we forgot to tell that we did not get a good note for test last week, I could bring many other examples and you might find that many you experienced too.

Our parents despite of looking angry always have forgiven us and that gave us a nice warm feeling of security and love.

Now when we are adults and having own family we can understand very well how it is when we have our kids and that despite being upset with their attitude we have to show our love and support and that is something that they will remember and appreciate it later.

Family is the most important thing in our life, if we did something wrong then we should admit it and ask for forgiveness. You probably noticed that it helps and you feel better and understandably the person who you asked forgiveness also will feel better. We should not forget and and try to do it when needed and do not leave it for a long time because the right moment may pass and you might never be able to do so.

I would like to invite @davidad, @seikoh, @fadlymatch for this challenge

Good evening Ma, I am from Nigeria and I like your post. It is rich.

There is one popular saying here that says... "You beat a child with your right hand and take him back with your left hand".

This literally means that when you discipline a child, you don't throw him/her away, you take them back. That's forgiveness.

Forgiveness is divine and can never be underated.

It really makes no sense to stay without forgiving, after all we make mistakes most times.

Keeping grudges for a long time will only sap us of our joy. This was what my father thought me.

Thank you for sharing this great piece, I enjoy reading it.

Thank you for your nice comment, it is good when the family has good relationship with each other and support each other. Sometimes we take it as normal but that is a privilege that we often notice too late.

It is indeed a privilege!

MOD's Observations/suggestions

Thank you for participating in the Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 17 in the Steem kids and parents Community.
Hi sir, I often experience what you are saying this :

Iremember how we brothers had a similar situation and stopped talking to each other for about a day, of course, with plans to stay silent forever. But it didn't last long and a few hours later we were playing again.

Since I was born to 9 siblings, there was a lot of fighting over toys and food as a child, but therein lies the fun because a few moments later we would be playing together again, like there had never been a fight.

Wow, 9 siblings that is great, I actually love when there many siblings because the family then are very close and care after each other. Nowadays young families do not appreciate that :)
