Nice nature and cute Common Water Monitors at Wachirabenjathat Park (Suan Rot Fai)
Wachirabenjathat Park (Suan Rot Fai) is a large green public park in Bangkok which has many trees and lakes. So, it’s home for many creatures like the Common Water Monitor. You will see some of them live freely in Wachirabenjathat Park (Suan Rot Fai).
I myself used to be afraid of it since it has a black and giant body which looks like a small crocodile and has a long tongue which looks like a snake.
Besides, as far as I know, it uses its tail as a weapon to strike enemies and its mouth to bite. So, it may hurt me if I come so close to it.
But now, after I visited Wachirabenjathat Park (Suan Rot Fai) more often and saw them every time I visited there, I found out that I dared to step closer and took photos and made videos of them. (I didn’t 100% dare to do that so I used zoom mode… Haha!)
The surrounding nature was so nice....
I heard that it likes to stay near water…. Yeah! I found some of them lying comfortably on the grass near water like this…
Besides, the Common Water Monitor is a good swimmer and diver… I found some of them swimming in the ponds or lakes....
Yeah! I accept that I enjoy watching them, taking photos and making videos of them a lot now…. They are such cute creatures!
