#ACTOFKINDNESS - ECONOMIC DIARY GAME, Thursday 26 May 2022 - Providing BLT Cash Assistance to the Poor for Community Economic Recovery in the Village.
The second day we were in Serbajadi District, we had several activities. Quiet mornings with beautiful nature being here is really nice. After last night we stayed at the Serbajadi Sub-District Head Office. In the morning, we have compiled several programs, there are 2 important programs that we have to do here, namely to visit Supervision for the distribution of BLT cash to the poor in Sunti Village and Loot Village.
These two villages are located a bit remotely in the Serbajadi Sub-district, the internet is a little less clear for cell phones, sometimes the signal is lost, sometimes the signal is lost. The residents in the village are generally poor people, their work is usually gardening and trading, but as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the distribution of fertilizers and their trading activities have stopped, they are generally a lot of people whose economic business is not going well, many even go bankrupt, so they Many fall into poverty and become unemployed.
The seven of us departed from Idi Rayeuk City to Serbajadi District using 2 cars yesterday morning. It was a long journey with a travel time of about 5 hours, making us have to stay here to carry out the task of supervising the distribution of BLT cash to the poor here.
After breakfast, at around 9.00 WIT we started to go to Sunti Village as the first agenda. We will start distributing BLT cash here at around 10.00 WIT according to the schedule given by the Head of Sunti Village to us.
BLT (Bantuan Langsung Tunai) is Direct Cash Assistance given to the poor for a year or 12 months. One month will be given to poor families as much as Rp. 300,000 (around 85.7 Steem with an exchange rate of IDR 3500/Steem) and the distribution will be given every 3 months, so that the total becomes Rp. 900,000 for three months. During the Covid-19 outbreak in Indonesia, many people lost their jobs or their businesses were no longer running because they could not carry out their usual activities, due to a ban from the Government that limited people's activities, so that many people lost their jobs and their economic incomes decreased drastically, and this happened continuously. National.
We had to walk to Sunti Village, because our car couldn't cross the small bridge over the Serbajadi River. Luckily the distance is not that far, maybe about 1 Km, but because of the natural beauty while we were going there, the journey by foot was not so felt.
Around 10.00 WIB we arrived at Sunti Village, then we were welcomed by Keuchik as the village head and several community leaders who were present, such as the police, represented by the Polsek staff, and the local Danramil. Indeed, the ceremonial event was made simple, only invited by a few supervisors to monitor the distribution of BLT cash assistance to the community.
After the village head makes a decision to determine poor families as recipients of BLT cash assistance, then submits the process of disbursing money from the Village Fund program, after the Liquid Funds then directly distribute to the poor who are entitled to receive BLT cash assistance. For Sunti Village, we distributed cash assistance to 47 poor families. Each poor family receives Rp. 300,000 x 3 months = Rp. 900,000 (approximately 257.14 Steem with an estimated Exchange Rate of Rp.3500/Steem).

After the cash distribution was over, we and the village community leaders sat down for coffee and ate the cakes that had been prepared by the village head Sunti. There are about 3 hours we were in this village.
Then in the afternoon we continued our journey to Loot Village. In Loot village, we will also carry out the same activity, namely distributing BLT cash for the poor. Loot Village is not too far away, about 2 Km from Sunti Village. It's just that we don't need to walk to Loot village. The road to this village can be passed by car.
Around 14.00 WIB, we arrived at Loot Village. There are more poor people in Loot Village than Sunti Village. In Desai we distributed cash to 59 poor families. The total amount of BLT money that we distributed for 3 direct months, namely April, May and June. For one month poor families receive as much as Rp. 300,000, so for 3 months distributed as much as Rp.900,000. The total amount of BLT money distributed to 59 poor families in Loot Village is Rp. 900,000 X 59 = Rp. 53.100.000 (approximately 1475 SBD at an exchange rate of Rp. 36.000/SBD.)
