It’s a beautiful species of flowering plant in the genus Plumeria belonging to the family of Apocynaceae. It’s native to Puerto Rico & the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean. It has been planted in tropical regions worldwide.

Alba obtained from the leaves, bark & flowers, are commonly used to manage bacterial, fungal & viral infections such as herpes, scabies & fungal infections.

It's widely cultivated for its fragrant white flowers, which are used in leis and perfumes. Medicinally, various parts of the plant have been traditionally used to treat ailments like malaria, leprosy, skin conditions & respiratory issues.
Additionally, the flowers are edible and can be used in fritters.
