Voiceshares #7 - A Victim to Online Scam, I Wanted To Die. I Found Hope When I Wanted to Correct My Mistake!!!
I'm an african man, born into the family of 5. This little experience happened which I'm about to shared happened early this year 2017 when I entered into online business as full time. I'm a man of integrity, and I believe in making money through networking and peer-to-peer business from the village I came from we do call it AJO( meaning combine contribution and with number picked we collect the money randomly), it works so well for me until I heard about online peer-to-peer business and I buy into it following my understanding.
I started the business with a total sum of $10 the system ROI is 50% in 30days, it worked for the first month, so I increased the donation to $200 after I tested the system, believe me I cash out $300 at the end of the second month. That same month I got new job in the city as a facility manager and with the great joy after I spend two weeks on the job, I left the cat out of the bag for my colleagues. All of them were not happy that I kept this fact so long for them. Each of my colleague donated $500 each and they were 5 in numbers that is $2500 in total and they all used my link for registration meaning more referral bonus in coming, I was very happy.
As the month draw nearer, the news reached the CEO of the company and at my back one of the colleague gave him my link to register which is good for me because CEO donated $1,500 to test run the system. The day of cashing out draw closer, meanwhile I am one week away from the other 5 colleague and I cash out my second $300, so sweet. At the end of the month for the other colleague to cash out they logged in and it was noted, kindly be patience with us , we encounter some bugs last night, we will solve this in 24hours, thank you.
The message calmed them down due to the fact that my withdrawal was seen and they was a clear evidence. hmmm, 24hours completed they all tried to login it read " page not found, ,,page not found! "the story reached my CEO table, I was summoned to the board room and was arrested that I am a scammer and I must provide the money to my colleagues which they donated, together with the CEO donation. Right there I received a sack letter and was detained in the police custody for a week before my bill was received. To cut the long story short, I paid $3,000 back and I was released.
For months I was not myself, I looked at the whole thing as back to zero and I felt like killing myself, but I remembered that when there is life there is still hope. I started with study information online and thereafter I met people of great ideas, they changed my orientation and made me know that "No one is island of knowledge, before you venture into business ask questions, study the process, do research, don't assume is legitimate, find out the source of the program and you wont make that mistake." I have learnt my lessons and I live happily now.

Sorry to hear this happened to you. Unfortunately, bad things happen to good people and you can't blame yourself. See it as a life lesson and be VERY careful in the future about the people you trust especially with online transactions. I can't imagine how humiliating it must have been to be accused of something you didn't do. But there's always light at the end of the tunnel so keep your head up :)
So sorry to hear this. Financial setbacks aren't easy. Having dealt with quite a number of them myself, I know the feeling. I am so happy you opened up about it because man, you are not alone. This community is very supportive and me and many others like me are here to support you and listen to you. One thing, just keep yourself in positive company and no matter how dark it is around, keep telling positive things to yourself. If you are positive and realistic, you will find a way out just believe you can do it. You are amazing just remember that!
