"Do you see what I see?"

"Uh, do you mean those two young men by the lamplight? They look just like you and me, like us as we used to be."

"That's not what I mean. Take a closer look."

"I've been looking through this mirror for so long, and nothing's changed. How long have we been here?"

"I've lost track of time, if time even exists. Again, take a closer look."

"Uhm... hey, wait. I see what you mean. The cracks..."

"Indeed. The cracks."

"It's finally happening. It's probably only going to be a little while longer, don't you think?"

"Ha, absolutely. Our time here is up. The future is coming! Do you know what you're going to do yet?"

"Breathe! Eat, drink, dance, see the sun, roll through the grass. Surely there's still grass?"

The last words hadn't even been spoken when the mirror shattered into a thousand pieces. Finally, they were free. And the two young men by the lamplight? Still just as neatly painted and framed.

This is a true exercise in "What do you see?" and "What do you feel?" You saw cracks and felt that everything was coming to an end; and it did. But only to a certain extent, because the painting remains painted and framed. That made me realize that art has the magic to endure through time. Excellent.

Excelente.

As far as I'm concerned, it's even better now, because those little cracks make you look more closely. At least, that's what the two ghosts trapped in the mirror are doing. They're waiting for it to crack so they can get out. When this finally happens, it turns out they're still trapped in a frame.

And they will remain there, in the painting, even if the glass has broken.

Our time here is up. The future is coming! Do you know what you're going to do yet?") A very interesting way to describe the concept of time. Time is ephemeral.

 yesterday

I believe that the concept of time depends on how one feels. Time is simply time for some, fleeting, and for others, an eternity with no end in sight.

An ingenious painting. The lower right part is reality (almost photographic). The further to the left the gaze goes, the more mysterious the space... and that look... :)

=============

 yesterday

Can you do something similar with your camera to capture those little cracks? I saw it in a painting and I actually think it's very beautiful, even though in this case they are the result of age and poor preservation.

The camera can only capture what is already there.
It is possible to apply a grid of cracks using Photoshop.
For example, to overlay with textures.

You can make this effect (craquelure) on your paintings using a special varnish.

===========
