Life has always troubled humanity with two major issues: diseases and wars. However, in this debate we must contemplate which hypothetically preferable option would be best: "No More Diseases" or "No More Wars"? Let me present some of my views before you guys, so let's get started.

Firstly, envision how much better the world could become without diseases. Annually millions perish due to illnesses. Cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and other incurable conditions not only end lives but also devastate families. If these diseases were eliminated, the quality of life would improve, lifespan would increase, and people could live happier lives.

If all diseases were gone, that not only would mean health & longevity but be a great relief economically, too. Hospitals, pills and other treatments– all these things can then take their leave of us. This would improve our social and economic conditions.

Think about it, when people are not sick, they will be more productive, work, and thus contribute to economic progress. Elimination of diseases also brings psychological relief. People would have peace of mind from not worrying about their own or loved ones' health. This mental peace increases productivity and strengthens social relationships.

Alternatively, eliminating wars would likewise have an enormous impact too. War takes peoples' lives and leaves total desolation in cities; it drives away millions of refugees and breeds hatred and division among mankind. Abolishing wars could mean not only peace but also mankind coming together.

War is never the solution to any problem. Ultimately, problems can only be resolved through dialogue. War always brings destruction. You can see for yourself the recent devastation caused by the Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas conflicts. Hundreds of thousands of people have lost their lives. Millions have become homeless.

Every day, heartbreaking images of dead children circulate on social media. These are children who should have been going to school, but instead, they are leaving this world. The cruelty has reached its limit. So, if you give me the choice between "no more diseases" or "no more wars," I would definitely choose "no more wars."

Why? Because peace enables a better society to form. With peace comes progress, better education and a greater emphasis on health services. Without war, we can turn more resources and attention to eliminating diseases as well.

Wars also have a negative impact on our environment. The weapons used in war and troop movements increase carbon emissions, and chemical leaks and other environmental disasters often occur, harming not only humans but also land and marine life. If wars end, we can be more successful in protecting our planet.

If wars end, we could redirect the energy and resources previously spent on defense budgets towards improving education, health, and infrastructure – more schools, better hospitals, and better roads. This would make our society more civilized and organized.

To conclude, I’d like to say that disease is not anyone's fault, but war is man-made. Therefore, eliminating wars also becomes our moral responsibility. If we as a society decide that we do not want wars, it would be a major ethical decision that would set a better example for future generations.
