Birthday is the day in which a person is born, it is usually celebrated, although not everyone celebrates their birthday, while others would make sure their birthday is celebrated in a big way in which would be remembered, sometimes some of us would love to celebrate our birthdays in such ways, but do not actually have the resources, whereas I don't think or believe that celebrating in a big way is the only way to make our birthdays a memorable day, children would always want such because they are kids, I also felt and wanted same when I was a kid, but never got any, now I'm a grown up and all I want on my birthday are just good wishes and prayers

I think even if most people don't celebrate their birthdays but at least do something memorable because is a special day in every one's life , it must no be big I urge everyone to receive a prayer. from their parents that day for your new age to be blessed.
Totally true my friend, I agree with you 100%,
I agree it's a memorable day and it's good to stand still by what you did and achieved or simply you are still alive. My grandmother called the day before the birthday: New Year's Eve and baked oliebollen. This is most likely the best memory not the day itself.
Children only want a big party if they have friends/family. There are plenty of children who rather stay alone instead of being surrounded by greedy bullies who only stop by to spoil the day and eat the cake.
What children want also depends on what parents say is normal. Memorable is what you like most and if wishes come true, it's also not bad to teach a child not everything is possible.

I do not know about that. But, I guess, it is mostly the people around that person who celebrate and make arrangement for the birthday itself. Some people just do not like that event. But, I find that to be odd.

I rarely had a birthday party mainly because I always had to celebrate it with someone else and that other person was in the spotlight. I rather celebrate it my way instead of being forced to eat cake I don't like and unwrap presents I never asked for.
I wonder what would be the reaction of someone who had arrange a birthday party would think if he /she saw this. LOL
It is a personal event. One should celebrate it the way the want to.
