Poem / Just in case I fail
Just in case I fail
J uggling all the scenarios around me
U nder the roof provided by my family
S ombre mornings and
T ense evenings leaving me agitated with irrational feelings
I n just the space of two weeks
N othings held me down or called me weak
C asually adjusting to the new world
A s my eyes are opened to what I have to do in time
S oon I'll be leaving home to create my own future
E very second scares me but as I've been told it's all in my mind
I need to prepare now for then
F ailing is not an option
A ll I need is right before me
I just need to grasp it to succeed
L ife is what you make it, seize your chance, take it

Ethan, a beautiful poem. Your "Just in case I fail" is what most people go through many times in their lifetime. Just by experience though, it's okay to fail if one tries their best. I've failed many times but what is important is getting up and moving forward again. The failure in life is letting a failed experience keep you afraid from trying again. Just like you said, "Failing is not an option, All I need is right before me, I just need to grasp it to succeed, Life is what you make it, seize your chance, take it". I love seeing your growth in wisdom, life and becoming!......Cabbagepatch :D
