Twas the night before Christmas

Nothing better than spending the festive time with good friends especially on Christmas eve. Thank you @bitrocker2020 and @ireenchew for inviting me to this 'Fancy Party' and we're supposed to wear all white. Which is being stated on the invitation card. :D

Anyways, I was really excited because for last year's Christmas, I spent Christmas eve a little quieter and chill so I thought I would love to start attending parties and keep myself occupied. It can get lonely sometimes especially during the festive season because my family isn't here. I'm thankful that this year's Christmas has been filled with something I LOVE doing very much and that is feasting!!! I got @ireenchew all excited when I told her I will be bringing Siew Yoke which directly translates to Roasted Pork. For me, no party is really complete without pork, bacon, and beer. Not forgetting the presence of amazing friends.

When I arrived, the gang was already there. @joannewong, @aaronleang, @awesomianist, and @vaelriey. The day before I was asking @ireenchew whether I supposed to wear fancy because the invite mentioned 'fancy party' so I was thinking smart casual with long white sleeve and khaki chinos but she said it's just a chill and fun party, so go easy. I went super casual and it was funny that she was dressed in a pretty little white dress.

The rest reached earlier to the house to prepare the food and beverages and you know how party preps are right? We usually buy MORE than we can actually eat. Yes... apparently the food that was being prepared was just the 1st batch. I was beaming from ear to ear because it is such a blessing to be 'full-filled'. Get it? Full and filled? HAHAHAHA

@bitrocker2020 taught me some tricks he learned about 'gutting' these potatoes and prep them to be filled with yummy bacon fillings. Then, we have @awesomianist and @vaelriey on his special classic Italian spaghetti. It was the first time I ever tried such a way to cook spaghetti. Basically he prepared a broth of raw egg and dumped the spaghetti in it making it smooth and allowing the heat from the spaghetti to cook the egg.

We FEAST!!!

So after the hearty meal, we sat around the living room and chat about life, Steemit, crypto and many other things. They also agreed to watch Crazy Rich Asian with me on chromecast because I've never watched it before and they were all giving me the 'shocked and you must watch face'. So that was really nice of them.

Also, I actually.... forgotten that there was a gift exchange and I didn't bring any gifts for the exchange. I was sooo embarrassed so I hope that the 20 STEEM Gift is acceptable. @vaelriey won the 20 Steem gift from me btw and I got myself a nice towel and a rack of Pierre Cardin glass cups. Overall, it was a night to remember, we chat till 3am and it was time to head home.
