Dark Abundance
The promise of abundance, of enough food, clean energy, material security, and time for all, shines as a beacon for a better world. It is a vision worthy of our deepest commitment and resources. Yet, in our urgent quest to generate this plenty, we must navigate a shadowed counterpart: Dark Abundance.
This is the paradoxical trap where the very systems we build to create wealth and sustenance spiral into new forms of scarcity. It is the abundance of plastic waste choking our oceans, the surplus of cheap goods that enslave supply chains, and the overwhelming flood of information that erodes truth and community. It is economic growth that concentrates dizzying wealth in ever-fewer hands, creating a barren landscape of inequality. Dark Abundance is the unintended harvest, the perverse yield of solutions applied without wisdom.
