ABU SIMBEL PROFANATION - DINAMIC - SPECTRUM REVIEW

Abu Simbel Profanation is a platform game for Spectrum, among other systems, published by Dinamic in 1985.

The intrepid adventurer Johnny Jones has set out to discover the secrets hidden within the ancient temple of Abu Simbel, even knowing that all those who dared to venture inside never returned.

The spirit of Ramses II has cursed our hero for his audacity, transforming him into a grotesque creature with a large head and tiny arms. He can only regain his human form if he manages to escape the labyrinthine sanctuary alive.

Despite his current sorry state, Johnny can walk and perform powerful leaps to overcome the countless traps he encounters. Fortunately, his reasoning and analytical abilities remain intact.

After gaining access to the interior of the pyramid, you will have to navigate deadly passageways fraught with danger. You will descend to the very depths of the temple, where a nauseating subterranean swamp threatens to sink all your aspirations.

If he manages to reach the central burial chamber, all his suffering will have been for something, but will he succeed where everyone else has failed? One last effort and perhaps Johnny Jones will manage to survive the Pharaoh's curse.

In this odyssey we will face multiple threats: Disgusting bugs, hideous mummies, unpredictable terrain, and worst of all, a host of traps worthy of the worst nightmare scenario imaginable.

But not everything is horrific at the Abu Simbel temple. Beautiful carvings decorate much of the site. Seemingly useless, they are the key to transporting us to new realms, provided we know how to use them…
