Baiturrahman, the heart of Atjeh
Baiturrahman is one of the big mosques located in Aceh which became an icon for the glory of Islam in Aceh. This mosque has been established since the colonial era by the Dutch in Indonesia and until now this mosque still stands firmly in the Banda Aceh town. After few years ago, the mosque has many changes and improvements are more adequate to facilitate the pilgrims to perform prayers.
Kata orang bijak, jika engkau tersesat di Kotaraja / Banda Aceh, maka segeralah tanya atau menuju ke mesjid Baiturrahman, dikarenakan semua orang tahu dimana posisi mesjid Baiturrahman. Dengan megah dan indah mempesonanya mesjid Baiturrahman menjadi jantung Kotamadya Banda Aceh.
