​After completing my Achievement 1, I have learned that security is the most important part of being a successful member here. In this post, I will explain my understanding of the Steemit keys and how I am keeping them safe.
​Question 1: Have you retrieved all your keys on Steemit?
​Yes, I have successfully downloaded the PDF file containing all my keys. I have saved it in a very secure place both online and offline.
​Question 2: Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?
​Yes, I have learned the specific role of each key:
​Posting Key: Used for daily tasks like posting, commenting, and upvoting.
​Active Key: Used for financial transactions like transferring Steem, powering up, or converting SBD.
​Owner Key: This is the most powerful key. It can change any other key and is only used if the account is compromised.
​Memo Key: Used to encrypt or decrypt private messages during a transfer.
​Question 3: How do you plan to keep your Master Password?
​I have written down my Master Password on a piece of paper and kept it in a physical safe. I know that if I lose this password, I can never recover my account.
​Question 4: Do you know how to transfer your STEEM token to another user?
​Yes, I know how to go to my Wallet, select "Transfer," enter the recipient's username, and confirm the transaction using my Active Key.
​Question 5: Do you know how to do the Power Up process?
​Yes, I can do a Power Up in my wallet to increase my Steem Power (SP), which helps me get more rewards and influence.
